Saturday March 3rd is Makha Bucha day, a Buddhist festival day.

 

Does anyone know if this is a bad day to arrive at Bangkok airport with a view to getting a taxi straight on to Pattaya?

No effect on the airport, but you'll have a problem later finding open bars serving alcohol. Look around and you'll find.
