Thanks Keny,These are the cheap Thai fares, and whilst still being advertised all over the place have been sold out now for many weeks as Thai only offers a very small percentage of seats at these prices per flt plus they are not even accepting "Stand-byes" on these fares.

I think these are the "Amazing Thailand" promotions refered to by "Fonz" earlier and IMHO still advertising them is downright dishonest and should be removed or prosecuted under out trade descriptions act. :allright :allright :allright

Stevo,

these are not the Amazing Thailand fares. These fares are designed for passengers who want to fly but dont care about airmiles as they only credit you 50% mileage.

Amazing Thailand deals to be published before the end of the month but will not be any cheaper then already mentioned fares but will have 100% mileage.

Well done Floyd,I agree that is a good deal. However I am only "Silver" card and have done in depth research of the latest "UN-Amazing Thailand" deals released just 4 days ago.Unlike previous years where there deals were good, this year they are CRAP.I tried to book for a July dep.for 30 days no problem, however on these "Amazing" deals there were NO return seats to be had until OCTOBER,so just what use these flights are to the average monger defeats me.

They should IMHO be investigated for false/lying advertising,I fired of a query to head office over this, only to have it refered back to Thai (NZ) for "Action,no response as yet.

Cheapest deals on Thai for Jul/Aug at the moment incl all Taxes are running at almost $1400,so will wait and see. :D :eyecrazy :banana

just did a broad search on Zugi.june to july

cheapest fare $899.00 dearest fare 1199.00

of course using the 899.00 fare you wont earn ROP points but you might on the $1199.00 fare. it doesnt incl taxes and domestic flights if you live outside auckland. air nz sells the wgtn - akl leg for $50.00 each way but no points. by using zugi you will have to book yourself at around $120.00 each way by advance booking.

Stevoman,

You may want to consider flying via Australia, Air New Zealand and Virgin (I think) have been running return specials, from Melbourne anyway. If you could get a cheap return flight to Sydney or Melbourne the fares onto BKK with Thai, Singapore and especially Jetstar are quite cheap.

The main airlines run cheap fares through travel.com.au and zuji.com.au but some of those only get you half miles. I have found if the fares are cheap on those two sites eventually the same price will come up on the Thai web site, booking through them directly has always got me full points.

Jetstar.com.au fly direct via Melbourne for roughly $700-$800au that time of year, not sure about Sydney.

I would hang on for a while if prices are still way to high seen you have a few months, Thai usually drops prices as it gets closer to winter from Melbourne, at least they have the last few years.

Just one alternative you may want to consider, if the prices from your end are way over the top.

onelilley.

Hi guys

Thanks for all your help and advice, have just spent 2 hours on mainly Zuji and the best deal I can get for a 6th july Dep. and 4th Aug Ret. with available seats is the $1103 fare.Taxes come in at $202 making $1305 all up.This is dearer again than last trip Oct where I paid $1248 (Due to late booking)

Not sure of ticket class (Forgot to look) however after viewing prices for other carriers this is still the cheapest option at the moment.

Thanks again
