I'm thinking about staying at this place. Has anybody had any experience here? I've seen very positive reviews, but my only concern is that it is out of the way. Would I be better off in the Soi LK metro area?

i stay here all the time and i will be again next week...its the best option for the price and the location suits me and i welcome the relative seclusion but it is only ten minutes away from the action...one new thing they have added is a room deposit...i was quoted various different prices but got them down to 1000 baht which is supposedly returned to you on checkout...as i am no keith moon i expect to get it back...overall a nice little hotel and the reviews are genuine

Haroldshand, thanks for the info. How far of a walk is it to LK Metro? And is there a foodmart or 7/11 close? What about restaurants? I can handle being a distance from the ladies, but not these other things. And what about the baht buses?

It's about a 5 min walk to soi LK Metro

There's a 7/11 on the corner with Soi Diana.

There are some quality (cheap) restaurants in that area.

Baht buses drive by frequently in both directions. Only late in the evening/nite you have to wait about 5 minutes or so

Yeah ive stayed there a couple of times and the rooms are ok at a good price. Like a hotel with swimming pool but its pretty small and shallow so i didnt really bother with it.

 

You might aswel stay in LK Metro as there are some pretty nice rooms available up there, though if you did choose Sun View i wouldnt say its out of the way as its only couple minutes up the road from LK Metro.

 

They get all girls to sign into the book, so if you have a regular girl they will find out who you bring back. I prefer Sandy Spring hotel myself on Soi 13, abit more expensive but nicer and better located....

I have booked this place on behalf of my mates looks decent enough ,they did ask for 3000baht deposit per room
