How to get a really cheap Jetstar flight over Christmas

I just booked a trip for the 18th of November and returning on the 9th of December for what works out at just AUD$564.88 plus extras for food,blankets,Video which will be another $94.00 return.

 

Here is what I did.

 

1. Go to www.directflights.com.au

2. Locate Thai Air flight on those above dates which is $864.38

3. Locate the same flights on www.jetstar.com.au which is $1,168.84

4. Call Jetstar and advise them of the fair difference and they will send you a voucher for 200% difference of the fair price so $305x2 = $610 which can be used for upto the next 12 months.

 

 

If those dates don't suit then you have the option of changing the flights for just $50 per sector after booking the ticket on their website.

Great advice.

 

Looks like we might get even cheaper flights once AirAsiaX and Tiger International come to town. If you have plenty of travelling time you will get some extremely low priced flights out of Melbourne and Sydney probably via Darwin and Singapore but as I say if time isn't a problem a return for around $600au or even cheaper will not be out of the question.

I hope that this works out for you as anticipated however my experience with these types of "Offers" is that they are fraught with restrictions and time barriers, plus a very limited amount of available seats for this discounted fare.However nothing to lose in trying particulary if your dates are flexible! I wish such a deal was available here in N.Z. but no such luck!
