Seeking Phuket accommodation & a travelling companion.

Hey guys, l'm 40yo Dave from oz, (farangatang). Been living mostly in Pattaya for the last 6 months. Not much of a bar goer, drinker or whoremonger, prefer the extralongtime GFE. Anyway, seeking all ur valuable experienced advise concerning finding a fairly new furnished room in Phuket. Will be driving there alone first week of November (have ute & thai licence) current gf not coming. Seeking trustworthy company for the trip, prefer thai speaking farang (maybe 1 of u guys or if u know of some1 interested) my first choice, or english speaking thai person-last choice. Have room in ute (pick-up) for their luggage. Don't expect u to share fuel costs in exchange for ur help & advise on the way, but up to the individual. So, free driving holiday south for the right person! Will drop off travelling company anywhere in Phuket, or before, to go there own way. Will stop at some tourist sites on the way. l am moving to Phuket long term, so seeking advise on finding a fairly new apartment block, furnished condo etc, without pool, with or without a/c, for around 5-10,000baht/month, in or near Phuket. Outside of Phuket is fine, prefer near a beach. Suggestions of websites to find accommodation appreciated.
