I used to skate myself.. No shops there, and if you were to skate you're looking for a disaster... irregular sidewalks/potholes/small gravel.. I wouldn't recommend it, very skate unfriendly and the thai people ignore

objects moving which are smaller than they are when in cars (a recipe for disaster).

I haven't seen Skateboarding in Pattaya, but I have in Bangkok. In Bangkok, The Esplanade Mall on Ratchada has a half pipe in their skate park and some skate shops. Skateboarding has caught on a little bit in Bangkok. Who knows if or when it would make it down to Pattaya... So, bring your skateboard and show off your tricks down beach road -- just be careful of the baht busses!

You'd be safer climbing Everest in flip-flops than you would be trying to skateboard in Pattaya. Besides, isn't the whole point of visiting a different country and culture being able to see and do things you couldn't do back home?

Yeah ...like walking into almost any hostelry in Pattaya and just knowing that the majority of the ladies present are readily available for a "no nonsense" shag :thumbup .That's what I call one of life's little luxuries and why we all love Pattaya.

if your into skateboarding then your too young for Pattaya

Tell that to Tony Hawk. He turns 40 next year. Jason Lee, the actor, was a professional skateboarder before getting his acting break with Kevin Smith. He turns 38 next year and still skates. Putting an age cap on fun activities is just stupid.

Does that mean you won't be playing any golf?

Sorry, not a jab, just a reminder that one man's silly game is another's passion :thumbup

O.k , Thanks for the replies , However I have NO intention of Skateboarding in Pattaya ! I am too old to go flying down the road on a plank of wood with wheels on it ! .

I was looking for the info for my much younger Son who will be joining me on a trip to pattaya at Christmas and in my Zest I told him that you can get anything you want there and usually quite cheap too !

So , as he is a Skater he asked me to find Skateboard shops ! I found a couple on my last visit , one at the shopping centre on second road where Ripley´s , is and one Small shop with a dilapidated skate park near Big C , but neither of these stock any real amount of spares , So I suppose I´ll keep looking , would´nt want to let the Boy down on his first trip now would I ! .
