if you are arriving on the 19th I assume you are flying out on the 18th...what about the BAA strikes on the 17th/18th in the UK? (if they go ahead)

Yip...I'm well aware of them but there aint too much i can do.....I'm hoping by the 18th all will be resolved.

 

I will worry about it a bit nearer the time.

I fly out on the 18th as well..but I got a couple of days booked in Bangers before heading for Patts

 

are you flying out of heathrow?

Im flying( I hope) Emirates out of Glasgow and into Dubai.

 

Have you any idea what stance the Airline would take on this if our flights are grounded due to strike action?

 

Would we have to re-book and is it money lost to you and I ?

Im as much in the dark as you are, its doubtful we would lose our money, but I don`t want the money I want my holiday FFS, I waited long enough for it

I would hope the airlines would try to get us on flights one way or another..remember these airlines have got to get passengers into the UK as well as out, if the first two strikes take place I may look at the possibily of finding another way of getting there.

Just listened to the TV 6 o'clock news and it was reported that both sides are now talking and the initial strike dates have been cancelled.......nothing definate yet but things are looking good and the smart money is on there not being any strikes.
