Help & advice on Pattaya car hire

I am due over to LOS on Friday and was looking to hire a pick up for a week to 10 days. I have previously been i n touch with Jon from Q-cars and it seemed like this is where I would hire from, until I read on Thai visa the there branch in Bangkok had ceased trading a couple of weeks ago.

 

I have tried both emailing and calling them over the last couple of days with no luck.

 

Can anyone tell me if they are still in business in Pattaya and if not can anyone recommend any other reliable car hire places with good condition cars and first clas insurance.

 

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Plenty of them here, 3rd Rd seems to be popular. The insurance is normally 1st Class with a 5000 baht deductable.

Q Cars are still advertising in the Pattaya mail.

Expat on Thrappaya...

Thoss...3rd Rd North end near the drving range.

Thanks for the reply Jacko, I know that there are plenty about I just wasn't sure where the better ones were and hence asked if anyone had any recommendations.

I've been satisfied with Escape Rentals on Soi Diana across from the LK Metropole. The cars are clean, well maintained, fully insured, and reasonably priced (though I haven't shopped for the "best" deal in town).

I used Q-Car in Jomtien a couple of times. No problem, good service. Just booked again for a week in April. Be aware that they do not take credit cards; cash only.

Used these guys a couple times. May not be the cheapest but where conveient at the time. Good service, good cars, and good insurance. They also have a vip card at no charge that gave a discount.
