Médecins Sans Frontières (also known as 'Doctors Without Borders') is an international medical humanitarian organization who delivers crucial assistance to disaster hit regions worldwide, including the Sichuan Earthquake region in China and Cyclone Nargis region in Myanmar. As part of Northwest Airlines®' AirCares® charitable support program you may contribute your WorldPerks miles to MSF, and bring much needed aid to these disaster relief efforts.

Donate WorldPerks miles to MSF from now until June 30, 2008 and Northwest Airlines will match your mileage contribution*. Miles will be used to provide air travel for MSF teams traveling to areas where their help is needed the most.

You would think that an airline as big as NW could offer a few free flights to a group of doctors as a real charitable effort, rather than tug on the heart strings of their frequent flyers. Anyhow, I chipped in the remains of my NW miles, haven't flown with them for years now due to bizarre scheduling.
