When I press View new posts or sometimes try to reply to a topic it says

Board Message

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

Sorry, the board administrator has enabled search flood control. Please wait at least 20 seconds before trying again.

Waiting a few minutes doesnt work.

Thanks.

It worked once a while ago, but just the once.

Tried it again there and it didnt work :thumbup

Have you tried with a different computer? The problem is, it works for me all the time. Trying another computer might lead to a different result. Let me know.

MM, for what it's worth, and not wishing to be a pain :clap2 I have had the same error message as the original post when moving from Get active topics for:"today" to the drop down box "this week".Can only clear this by coming out of the site. This has been on several different PC's.

'View new posts' button hasn't worked for me for a couple of weeks now. I've tried using another PC but it was no different.

Still didnt work on another computer and its working on ther forums if thats relevant.

I remember PI at night saying that theres a flood control for new accounts to stop someone signing up and flooding the site with new threads. Maybe that option has been tripped as if its a new account?

Fixed it myself :D

Found an old topic where PP said to delete forum cookies. Theres a bit you click on the forums front page.

Then I changed to firefox browser and it worked :clap2
