I'm heading to Pattaya on the 3rd Sept for a two week stay and need some help selecting a hotel. My original plan has now gone to shit so now i need to find a hotel to stay at. I'm staying at the Irish Rovers for the first 4 days as this was already booked with Pat. Im looking at a budget of between 1000 - 1500 baht/night and somewhere that doesn't charge for joiners. Last time i was in Patts i stayed at Lk Metropole which was fine apart from them charging me a joiners fee for one of the girls when i bought two back. This time i want to try something different. I've narrowed my list down to a few hotels and would like to get the opinions and suggestions of other BM's. Must haves in the room include internet, safe, a balcony and is guest friendly.

The prices are the cheapest i could find online.

Baboona Beachfront - 1300/night

Lk Legend - 1000/night must book 1week min for this rate. Cant find reviews on this one but looks good

Lk Royal suite - 1300/night

Lk Renaissance - 1500/night

Summer Spring - 1200/night

Eastiny Plaza - 1100/night

Mantra Pura Resort - 1000/night Dont know if they are guest friendly.

Residence Garden -1450/night

Cheers

Simo

Of the hotels you mention, I have only stayed in Residence Garden, RG have the things you want, safe in room,

internet, balcony and is guest friendly. I have stayed there 6 times and will book it again next time I go to Pattaya.

I can only recommend it.

Eastiny 7, and Residence Garden are both pretty hot right now at the moment. I've stayed at the LK Renn., but for location the Eastiny and RG are probably better choices.

What was the LK Renn like? anything special?

Im also wondering if anyone has heard of the Lk Legend. Is it new?

The LK Renn is very nice, from what I hear, though it might be outside your stated price range. However, all the LK hotels will have the same guest policy (1 free, pay for the excess).

As far as I know, RG doesn't do that...and if I am wrong, lots of BMs can confirm their policy, one way or the other.

Never heard of the LK Legend...but, as before, if it is an LK property, their standard rules will probably apply.

BTW, the Mantra Pura, while nice, is expensive and very far out of the way. You'd probably need to use their tuk tuk to get to a convenient baht bus route (it's at 3rd Road and Pattaya North).

In summary, of the ones you mention, I'd guess the RG would fit your requirements best.

Thanks for that MM. All the hotels i have listed are in my price range. The Lk Renaissance is 1500bht/night and The Mantra has a special atm of 1000bht/night. I realise the Mantra is a bit out of the way but at that price i may do a couple of nights there just to check it out.

Once again thanks for the info. Its looking like RG may be the go.
