Hi, as a matter of interest (mine)why is this bike so expensive in Thailand ?as I found one in the US that was almost half your price and a 2005 model in the UK that is about 90%.I know there will be some explanation but I don't know what it is .

Original import duty.

Harleys are insanely expensive here compared to, as you pointed out, the UK and US. A new Ultra will cost somewhere north of 1.5 Million Baht here!

Ok, mine is 2nd hand and 7 years old, but every model here will have had the original import duty paid, and that is what keeps the re-sell price so high. 2nd hand 883 Sportsters are going for between 250,000 - 350,000 baht here! Have a look at www.bahtsold.com
