Areca Lodge

Hello

 

Looking at going back to Areca Lodge with my family again, however I am hearing that there is building close

by as part of an extension to the main building and am a little worried it wont be complete.

 

I have emailed them for availabilty and also asked for an update on the building works.

 

Also if the works from part of an extension to the hotel do we know if there is an additional swimming pool

being built as putting more rooms in and keeping the same pool will make it a little busy and thats what

attracted us to the Areca the first time. Any Ideas

 

Last point I am looking at Nova Platinum if I cannot get Areca as the pool looks nice and its not to far from

Jomtien, I knows its not as attractive in terms of location as the Areca.

Areca is full in November, so it's as popular as ever.

 

I could not get ANY room when I emailed 6 weeks ago.

 

The building at the back was almost complete in June, so by now there should be no constuction noise, just fitting out of rooms.

 

The back pool is closing (or maybe closed already) for re-tiling and an extension to the surrounding areas to allow extra sun beds.

 

The new wing will have it's own dining rooom, so the "old" breakfast room should not get any busier.

 

There will be some more condos built on the land on the west side where the piles have already been sunk, not sure about the "chicken shack" side, it is still vacant.

Having stayed there in August this year I can tell you that the larger pool refurbishment started on 1st September ...

 

Most of the heavy construction on the new development is now complete and it is mainly now only undergoing 'finishing ' work - between 8 am and 5 pm so is not so noisy ...

 

Areca Lodge's usual friendly service is largely undiminished ( still good ) as a result of these ongoing changes.

 

I wouldn't be put off by them ...although it seems that it is still popular to the point of being full already with advance bookings beyond the New Year ...so maybe it won't be easy to get in even if you wanted ??

I was there today helping a friend move in. I asked about their new property (Evergreen) behind them on Soi 15 and was told that it would open in Dec.
