Best time to book flights

I fly a fair bit and just an observation that ive noticed is the best time to book is 6 to 8 weeks before you want to go, if there's a special it will be out, if you book along time in advance there may be no special yet so your paying a higher price.

 

I always book direct online with the Airline but i only really ever use Emirates and TBH there online fares are always better or the same as the best deals i can get through an Australian Travel agent, they also often have the best deal anyway from Sydney to Bangkok, but use there online booking and join there Frequent flyer program and you get 25% more miles each booking, the FF program is amongst the best in the world.

 

Ultimately though the best time to book is when you want to go and lets be honest if your going to save a couple of hundred dollars or not going to stop you going to LOS ?
