Near midnight on Wednesday,

 

Pattaya Police were summoned to the scene of an injured foreigner at a beer bar near X-cyte Disco.

 

Arriving, the officers found Mr. Tony Hickey, age 52 from the UK. He had suffered 3 wounds to his head which were bleeding profusely. His attacker, a woman, a 28 yr old bar girl, was still at the scene, so both were taken to the police station. Mr. Hickey told the police that he was spending the night out at a beer bar on Soi 7, Beach Rd., and bar fined the lady in question. After paying the bar fine, Tony was also expected to pay the lady a service fee of 1,000 baht, which the lady agreed to. Then Tony took her to another bar, where they argued over her fee. Tony then told her to get lost, but a woman scorned can be a dangerous thing. Furious, the lady then went out and whacked his motorbike. Tony begged her to stop, so she took of her stilettos, and began whacking him instead. The lady said she thought Tony was going to hit her, so she reacted in self-defence. Tony was taken to Memorial Hospital for first aid, and the lady will face charges of assault and battery.
