Are Mods Hiding Threads? - Proof Of The Conspiracy!

"Is Apple Hiding Consumer Reports Discussion Threads?"

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2366403,00.asp

Consumer Reports made a big wave in the blogosphere yesterday when it announced that it "can't recommend the iPhone 4." Apple, not surprisingly, wasn't pleased.

The story was a big deal primarily due to the fact that, like most reviewers, the magazine really liked the phone. But like most reviewers, Consumer Reports found one major flaw with the latest version of Apple's wildly popular handset: reception.

Due to those widely reported "death grip" problems, the magazine felt that it couldn't recommend the iPhone 4. The ability to make calls, after all, is a pretty core feature to any phone—even one made by Apple. While the report likely won't put too huge a dent in iPhone 4 sales (which have, thus far, been record breaking for the company), Apple has never been an organization that handled negative publicity especially well.

How far is the company willing to go to nip such bad press in the bud? According to a number of reports, Apple has begun blocking mentions of the report from its message boards. As of last night, at least six threads mentioning the report have been pulled—and, fittingly, cached on Bing.

Attempting to access the threads on Apple's sites will bring up the message, "Error: you do not have permission to view the requested forum or category." As The Unofficial Apple Weblog (generally champions of Apple's output, as evidenced by its name), "this isn't the first time we've heard about Apple deleting discussion board threads on topics which are unflattering to Apple's products. It's closer to the fiftieth time."

Just don't expect to find mention of any of those incidents on Apple's message boards.

Naturally the first thing I thought when I read the above was "what's the impact on FLB Bar in Pattaya?" :devil

Then followed quickly by the hideous suspicion "Wait a minute - what if they're part of the cover up!" :allright

Sure enough, a quick search confirmed my worst fears - no mention of the negative Consumer Reports article on ANYWHERE on the board!

Obviously proof-positive the mods are guilty of participating in this insidious cover-up! :D

EDIT: Just another reminder that one should always use "protection" in Pattaya :D
