Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm sure it's just me but since the board format has changed I can't see how to view content other than that most recentley posted. There must be a tab somewhere that lets you view content from the past week/month etc etc.Damned if I can find it.

Any advice please .Ta !

That's a damned good question, N3RGT. :chogdee

Okay, it's kind of convoluted, but what I have found is if you go to the main forum view (click on Pattaya Talk Forum above the advertising banner), you can scroll down to the line just above the member list that has the option for TODAY'S ACTIVE CONTENT. Click on that, and you will get the posts for the last 24 hours.

Now, if you want to change the time period, go to the bottom right of the displayed page, and you will see "Active in the last 24 hours". You can change the time period to 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 months or a year there.

N3RGT,

1. Open any sub-forum - Members' Bar, Trip Reports, Off-Topic etc, etc.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

3. You'll see a button to show you the filter options. Click it.

4. The filter options come up. Set the timeframe to Show All (or whatever period you want), check the Remember Filters option and click on the Go button.

Many thanks MM.I had kinda chanced upon it previously but damned if I could get it back.I'm sure the explanations will be of benefit to other BMs who were maybe reluctant to ask. Thanks again.

Hi Tom,

many thanks for your detailed reply. As I said to MM earlier I'm sure this will be of benefit to others while certain things are "ironed out" regarding the new look of the board. Thanks for your help; it is appreciated.

So we can't search content older than 1 year?

So we can't search content older than 1 year?

Nobody said anything in this topic about searching.

Read all the posts in the topic (there are only 6), and get back to me if you're still confused about what is being discussed.alright.gif

Yes, that method works well, thanks.

Ok, let me rephrase my question......

I'm trying to view my content (previous posts and/or topics) but I am limited to 1 year.

How do I view my Topics from say 2005???

The "Advanced Search" function (the cogwheel icon a bit below and to the right of the member's name) seems to enable searches back to 1 Jan 2005.

So have we lost the ability to view content prior to 2005?

No, but it's kind of quirky.

I click on the ADVANCED SEARCH and click the FORUMS radio button.

Then, on the FROM DATE, type in a date, like 01/01/2002. If you then click on the calendar button, it brings up lists of years prior to 2002. It just defaults to 2005, but will change based on the value in the date field, if entered.

Even though the topic wasn't about searching, you ask a good question. I finally have an answer.

Up until yesterday, any search cut off after going back exactly 365 days...so any content prior to that was not included in the search.

By pure happenstance, I found the forum variable to tweak for that behavior, so now searches can go back 10 years

All my questions are good, if not excellent :whistling:

Well done for sorting the problem :clap2:
