Having a kid with a thai

what happens if you have a kid with a thai girl .does that give you rights to stay in thailand even though you will not be married . as the kid will be half thai and born their a bit like ronnie biggs and brazil , one way of getting to stay in the country without all the visa hassles

I'm going to answer a question you didn't ask. This applies to American dads and quite possibly with other countries.

 

If you have a child with a Thai girl and your name is on the Thai birth certificate do the kid a big favor and have his birth registered with the US Embassy. They will issue a US birth certificate and passport, he will be a US citizen.

 

I know for a fact the above is true as I'm helping a women from Phuket whose American husband died get social security bennies for her kid. I've seen the birth certificate and US passport issused by the embassy.

No, having a baby with a thai national does not give you any rights to stay in thailand.
