Hi guys. New here Avg is ok but really drags you mp down if you are trying to use your computer at the same time it's running. It also Pops up....... way too often. The best combination I have come up with after trying all the others. Is, Ccleaner (free version is just fine) with Microsoft Security Essentials (runs in the background with very little bog on your mp) and the best find I have ever found (have used for over 8 years now) Privacy Eraser Pro. This one will even erase those unwanted "locked dat files". Haven't had a problem in three years. I'm a believer. I also have "completely" uninstalled all other programs, as this can be a conflict sometimes.

Sorry forgot to say that MSE is also free and PE Pro gives you a 15 day free trail. Suggestion, I have all of the options checked on both Ccleaner and PE Pro. You'd be amazed at how much garbage gets downloaded to your computer every time you open a web page.

Yeah, Ccleaner does the registry also. I was worried at first but now I don't even bother doing a backup. It sure helps keep the speed up. Also if you dare, look at what's in your start up. This can really slow down start up and run.

I also use ccleaner but if you try pc doctor you will find it removes a lot of junk that ccleaner does not do
