Lin is a brilliant comet streaking across the NBA landscape right now.

 

The Taiwanese-American basketball player from Harvard is also the owner of an amazing NBA stat - He has scored more points in his first five starts than any NBA player has ever scored in their first five starts. More than Wilt Chamberlain. More than Kobe Bryant. More than Michael Jordan. More than ANYBODY!!!

 

This is the definition of a sports phenomena.

Yes I like to see skill over-come any physical disadvantage. What is he 6.2 6.4 ? That's relatively small I would think in top level BB where almost freakish height is the norm. A few more 'Jeremys' and I might start following the sport. Good luck to him.

 

Interesting too to see the excitement in China at Lin's success.

 

He's parents were from Taiwan......He grew up in America and is a devout Christian........But he's ethnic Chinese and they are going potty.

It's incredible to watch. The guy is having so much fun yet he's balanced regarding his recent success.

He's humble, he recognizes his team mates' contributions and he knows where he has to improve.

Having a good guy to root for makes being a fan that much more fun. You want this guy to do well

regardless his team (no one wants to see their fave team lose, I know). It's a very feel good thing.

The obvious differences between Tebow and Lin are that:

 

1. Lin has played well every game (until a recent loss), unlike Tebow, who had some horrible games during his streak of popularity.

 

2. Lin doesn't hammer everyone over the head about his religion, unlike Tebow, who is constantly talking about it.

 

I'm happy for Lin.

 

I hope Tebow fails miserably next season.

I read about him and saw the highlights. Very impressed!

Will watch their game against champion Mavs tonight and see him in action for myself (on TV ). I think he's just what the doctor ordered for the Knicks. Hopefully he will be the "wake-up-call" for NY's "stars" (I know Melo's been out) and make them come to work and reestablish NY as a contender again! I loved D'Antoni when in Suns and even in Bennetton, Italy and I would like to see that kind of uptempo basketball again... of course spiced up with (L)insane alley oops and breakaway dunks
