Pete,,, Can you give us a little more info on the up coming Orphanage charity.  Could we send money directly to you? Is it possible to buy a FLB/Misty's charity T-shirt? Maybe you could make a place on this board that has the names of people that donated money, but NOT the amount. Will there be things auctioned off, can we view them here, and maybe buy them. Is this the first year of this kind of event? Is there a set goal dollar wise that you hope to reach? There are probably questions other people have, so I'll start the ball rolling and post this.

Kahala, if Pete's unable to do a real-time auction and you want to either contribute to the orphanage and/or buy an FLB shirt, I'll give you a short-term solution.

 

Message me thru this site and tell me how much you want to donate and I'll put it in for you (and have Ben or Pete witness it).  You can mail me a check to Washington, DC later.  (I don't know how much a T-shirt is, but if Pete posts that here and you want one, I'll pick one up and mail it to you from stateside where postage is cheaper and you can reimburse me for the $ and postage later).

 

I've done similar stuff for other members of the board and have never, ever been stiffed.  Guys are very responsible insofar as paying stuff back -- one thing I appreciate about this place.

 

PETE -- you ever consider trying to Ebay a couple of items for the charity auction?  I think you mentioned that you can access the receiving end of PayPal, correct?

All good suggestions but probably too hard to implement.  

 

There is a collection box in the bar at FLB and Mistys and everyone is welcome to make a donation by dropping in some cash.  

 

FLB will be keeping the donation box in place after this appeal and your money will always be welcome  ;D, whenevr you make it to Pattaya.

Just a thought ... does the orphange have a direct pay account? I.e., can anyone who wants to make a donation do so directly to the orphage? If so, maybe a permanent page here on the site might be helpful, providing some general background to thier work etc.

 

Also by direct donation, things can be anonomous if people want it that way.
