Golden Gate in Bangkok....

I was wondering if any of the board brothers were familiar with the Golden Gate on Soi 2, off of Sukhumvit. I have been searching the web for any info on this place, but haven't found anything. If any board members have stayed there or know anything about this place, please let me know. Thanks... 8)

havent stayed there or ever heard of it...all i can find doing a search is the following

 

Golden Gate

and price is about 550 baht per night

There are actually 2 hotels on Soi 2 with the name Golden. One is called Golden Gate and it has a large gate at the entrance that is painted gold. The other hotel has a large bridge outside and it is a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, They are next door to each other so they could be owned by the same people.

ExPat, I would be happy with any info you could offer on either hotel (pool, in-room safe, guest friendly, etc). I am trying to find a room close to Nana Plaza that offers all 3 of these amenities. Thanks again for any info you can share...   8)

JW Marriott - but a little more expensive.

Thanks for the tip Torrenova, but with my style of partying, I had best stick to a 2 or 3 star hotel. Besides, I don't want to spend more than $30 per nite.... 8)
