Grand Jomtien Palace Hotel??

Hi all,

 

My travelagent has offered me a good package deal (flight, 2 nites BKK hotel, tours, transfers and 10 days in Pattaya).

 

The hotel in Pattaya (actually Jomtien) is the Grand Jomtien Palace Hotel. Gathered some info on the internet; pictures look nice.

 

BUT: Has any FLB-member actually stayed here? Is it guestfriendly? How's the hotel overall?

Don't know the quality of the hotel, but it is right on the beach and very close to one of my favorite stops, the Winchester (may be renamed by now) Club.  It takes about 10 - 15 minutes to get to FLB.

I stayed there for 4 nights in June. I checked in with my TG so had no problems. I saw several guys with companions so I would be fairly sure there would not be a problem with guests regular or short time.

The hotel is pleasant with a good buffet breakfast. Rooms are nice. We booked a double but got 2 singles for the first night but were changed to a double the next day without any hassle.

The only problem as I saw it is that it is in a relatively isolated and quieter area.
