Hi guys,

Are these two the same or different places?  What's the difference and which is the one marked on most of the maps I find?

Thanks!

Eastiny Place is the new one and closer to 2nd rd.  Eastiny Inn is the one your probably looking at on the maps.  I can vouch for the Inn, clean rooms, small pool on the 5th floor.  Convienant mini-mart next to hotel.  Good location in the heart of all the beer bars on soi 8.

They both have good locations and both have mini marts next to them.  I don't know about the Inn, but at the Place they ask for you to not smoke in the rooms.  The Place has small balconies and the pool is located between the two wings on the 3rd floor.

It seems like one of them had a funny guest policy when I first looked into staying in them.  I don't remember the details but were I you, I would ask about their guest policy before booking.  You sure don't want a surprise like that!

Thanks guys.  It's odd trying to find out where to stay when there are two Flippers and two Eastinys in the same neighborhood.

Maybe I'll just walk from one to the other and see who will give me the best deal.

Eastiny Inn "rips" 300 baht/night  for each "guest" over the missionary one ! However stick to one and there is no problem. No extras in the Flippers.

I newer had to pay extras and i stayed there twice.

Does anyboby know a nice deal for Eastiny now? I'm coming to PT soon and on a low budget..

I emailed them and they want 800B a night (incudes tax).  Flipper gave the same price.

I imagine that if you care about $2 you could get them down to 700B.

Personal choice between Eastiny and Flipper Lodge would be the Flipper. Sea view rooms are nice, great roof top pool, nice in house massage and as many guests as you can handle. Hope this helps. Cheers, B-Man!

i would second the flipper lodge.

it has everything going for it.

the price and the location are hard to beat.

no limit on the number of guests and a good id check policy.

My long term TGF prefers the Flipper House.  Not sure why!   For a four week stay in July, they quoted me 650 baht / night for the old wing.  Works for me!

Yen Sabai Condo soi 17 for 400 per night is a excellent deal. In room safe, 20" tc, a/c. Only thing I didn't like was the walk to second road, not far just in the sun.  www.pattayarentaroom.com
