Please cancel Reservations at RG

I had a change in hotel plans for my last trip, I canceled my reservation 72 hours before I arrived. I got a nice email back from the manager, thanking me for letting him know. He remarked that many guys will just not show up and it ties up a room that he could have made available. Do the right thing, send a FREE email! ;D ;D ;D

I agree. It really is important. I wanted to be in RG on my last trip, but initially they did not have availability. I was on a waiting list and only few days before the date I got a message that a room became available.

 

So BigDusa, it might have been you.  8)

 

We are getting great service at the RG, they deserve at least that email.

I've had the same experience with Ib. I recently cancelled part of my stay 5 weeks prior to arrival. Felt like a prick cancelling on him during  the busy season - I received an email from Ib  thanking me for letting him know. He seems like a nice guy and deserves our support. :)

Trying to make a reservation at RG, I was asked for a CC, I replied saying I prefer not to give my CC over eMail and got this reply:

 

"As we have so many NO SHOWS from the FLB site, we must insist on a deposit."

 

Now, I'm not angry or anything, I think this just casts badly on us visitors...  If you make a reservation, either show up or mail saying you're not coming...
