Our place - russian restaurant on Jomtien

I heard lately, if I walk down from Jomtien sauna to the beach road it may worth to turn left to discover the " little Russia " restaurants... Genuine russian foods for OK prices ... Let's try...

Yes, many russian theme restaurants... however the prices looked too good.. Looks like a cartel. Almost all of the restaurants with the same menu.... I choose the " Our place " because of the gushing personal messages on the wall...

Good overture, without asking the complimentary ice cold refreshing towel....

The not so good following.... I asked 4 times if the borsch and the pelmeni is served with sour cream? " Khoucay mai? " The reply was positive 4 times... Just to explain to you... For the russian kitchen the sour cream is the same like for the American kitchen the ketchup...

 

The borsch arrived without a drop of sour cream.... Full with vegetables, but very few pork meat.. Namely 2 small piece of meats... The taste of the soup was genuine.... But still poor....

 

 

The pelmeni was simple right... Too bad it was served with the borsch. It was lukewarm when I started it... The Crap salad in the middle was just a weird surprise... This food must to swim in sour cream. And the usual fraudulent thai try... Serve mayo instead of the sour cream... When I complained... A hurry " solly, solly " reply...and a cup arrived with the proper sour cream.

 

 

Verdict: I was happy to taste the genuine russian tastes..but it was a Crap... I will be not back...
