Getting to LOS before New Years

Im trying to leave Chicago to be in LOS for New Years but am finding that all the prices are over 2000 grand. I usually pay around 800 when I leave in early January. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it . I did expect to pay more to get there for NYeve but not triple. Should I just save the extra money and leave in January or when is the best value time to leave in December.

Everything is pretty expensive for those dates right now.  I recently coordinated a few people's travel plans and we all had to be in by NYE.  No one was able to get under $1000 and we all booked weeks ago.  During the process I noticed that days would fill up for anything close to $1000 and only $2000+ seats were available.

 

You should bid at priceline what you are willing to pay and if that doesn't work just wait until later in January or hope some special deal arises.

I'm trying to get ther for NYE also...something like

27 DEC to 7 JAN ...all looking like $2,200.  Probably looking at late January, can get flights in low $600's.

For me the reason to be in LOS for New Year's is so I don't have to burmn any vacation days.  Other than that I would just as soon not be there for New Year's Eve.
