Im going down on the 24th, why not hang out in bangkok for the night for a few beers and a nights sleep and then troll down to Pattaya the next day ?

I too arrive in BKK on 23rd October at 16:00 hrs.  Crackpot I guess that I may even be on your flight. QF2 ex LHR?

 

I intend to go to the Nana area for the first night but because of the Budist holiday on the 23rd am prepared to re-consider and go straight to Pattaya.
