Just started using a new computer for net access and when I tried to log onto chat it said it needed to upload some Java component but the whn I tried to do this I got a  Microsoft page saying this upload was no longer available since 27 aug 02. Any ideas?  Thanks for any info.

Are you running Windows XP?

 

If so you need to know that Microsoft pulled another  dirty trick by leaving the standard Java engine out of XP and IE 6.

Be careful with this one - rather try SP1 which has Jave (and other funny things).

 

The Sun version "fucked" up my pc - couldn't play Tetris anymore - had to reformat an install XP with SP1.
