Guys,

I'll be back in Pattaya in June for the first time in 4 years and people say the place has changed a lot in that time.

I've read the reviews on cheap accomodation but I'm undecided on a number of hotels. I'd appreciate any comments, good or bad on any of the following:

Sky Top - 2nd Road, Diana Millenium - Soi Buakhao, The Roof Top - near R G, and Vinai Place - Soi Vinai Place off 3rd Road.

I don't think any off these have a pool but I've been told the humidity in June makes it unlikely that I'd want to lie by one all day - any truth in this ?

Like I said, any comments - good or bad - much appreciated.

Cheers,

Dode

Sky-Top doesn't have a pool. Good place to stay and the owner Pete will discount during the off season.

If you dont mind being beach side of 2nd road................you could try the Golden Crab in soi 13 .....15 apartments set around pool.....seperate bedroom / kitchen living room......they run about 17000 baht a month . English owned. Not a bad place if you want to escape from a hotel room. If you need phone number etc.....post another message.

On a personal note i was down there 2 days ago booking my mother in for this xmas (i live in pattaya) shes stayed there for last 4 years every xmas....really likes the place as its handy for royal garden etc. My advice would be book early as its popular especially over xmas. One more thing they charge 5 baht for electric on top of tariff....works out about 1000 baht a month depending on how much air con you use......gas for stove is 100baht which will last a couple of months....water is free............. :banghead
