Can anybody recommend any Hotels in Phuket close to the action and don't charge Guest Joiner fees ?

 

Or can you recommend a similar site to this but on Phuket ?

I can recommend http://www.orchidresidence.com - simple but nicely furnished, clean rooms. The deluxe rooms at around 750 baht, off season, are great value. No pool but they have an arrangement with a neighbouring hotel if that bothers you. Location, on Soi San Sabai, can't be beaten. It's quiet but you are only a 60 second stroll from Soi Bangla and all the action.

Yes the Orchid Residence was a good hotel to stay. I was there last summer and it was 550 for deluxe through latestays.com. Small hotel but very friendly. Keep very clean. Usually have a few people sitting at the bar that are freindly and can give good advice on places to go eat, drink, motorbike rental, ect. Just up the street from soi bangla. Just far enough that you don't get disturbed from the loud noises late night.
