How unfriendly is the Tai Pan Hotel?

i heard there was no problem bring guests and look what i found on one of the

hotel reservation sites.

The Tai-Pan Hotel Bangkok is situated just off Sukhumvit and Asoke Roads, one of Bangkok's major thoroughfares, shopping and entertainment areas are within walking distance.

 

The 139 rooms with 7 suites are fully equipped with satellite/cable TV, air-conditioning, IDD telephone and mini-bar. Safe deposit box, bathrobe, hair dryer and no-smoking rooms are available.

Important note from hotel: All Thai visitors & joiners are subjected to pay 4,000 THB extra charge on each visiting in room. Any use of hotel facilities by joiner is prohibited

I stayed there a year or so back and although the hotel is very nice their guest policy sucks... Back then it was 500 per guest
