I've stayed at Felix two years ago. I think there are some other (more fancy?) resorts in the area, but what I especially liked at Felix is the location, right on the Riverside, next to the Rail Bridge.

To get into town means a rather long ride, usually with the Hotel Shuttle for a steep 200 or 300 Baht, as I never have seen Motos or Taxis there.

I enjoyed walking over the Railbridge, and taking a Mot (30 Bt) from the other Side.

I can definitely recommend Felix, but: Bring y'r own GF!

I was there over New Years. It is a nice hotel. The rooms were adequate and they have a nice view over the river. However, the New Year’s Gala was painful. Bad food and terrible entertainment.

While you are there, I recommend hiking the Erawan Falls. Seven waterfalls, each one more spectacular than the last.
