  1. Thanks Mak, Better you ask your questions here and I'll try to answer them. This way everyone can see it for the better.
  2. I recently sent an email to the owner of Nova Park telling him that a few residents and I were disatisfied. I sent him a list of names of my family and friends who had been considering Nova as a long stay residence. I was told "we're 90% full all the time, so you and your friends can check out anytime" or something very un-proactive. As we Jews say: "what a shmuck!"
  3. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 IN ALMOST ALL MY VISITS TO PATTAYA, I’VE STAYED IN MANY DIFFERENT PLACES FOR MONTHS AT A TIME SUCH AS WALKING STREET (JULIE HOTEL AND LA FONTAINE), SOI 8 (PRINCE HOTEL), AND SHITTY NOVA PARK. BUT IF THERE’S ONE PLACE CLOSE TO MY HEART, IT WILL ALWAYS BE SKY BEACH CONDOS IN NAKLUA ON WONG AMAT BEACH. SKY BEACH IS THE TALLEST CONDO IN PATTAYA. IF YOU’RE ON ONE OF THE HIGHER OF THE 41 FLOORS, ALL YOU HEAR IS YOUR OWN BREATH. THERE ARE 500 UNITS BUT MOST ARE BOUGHT BY BANGKOK THAIS WHO MIGHT COME 1-2 WEEKENDS A YEAR. SAD BUT TRUE. HERE’S MY HOMAGE TO SKY BEA
  4. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 After last night’s wicked thunder & lightning storm, I was happy to wake up to sunny blue skies. Started my day witnessing a huge fire! Oh, it’s just the fire brigade teaching extinguishing equipment Then I peeked into the hotel’s garden. Very beautiful. It’s noon and I’m hungry. TOPS has some great cheap Charlie options. After lunch, I popped over to the “other†side of Sukhumvit. Followed by 99 baht all you can eat Pizza! Iâ
  5. I'm stuck in a long term lease with Nova Park but I highly recommend you DO NOT STAY THERE! The owners and staff are very welcoming on day 1 when they show you around but that smile is soon gone and replaced by ignorance and/or a frown. The Israeli owner Rony Fineman couldn't give a rat's ass about anyone's concerns. He's asked me to contact when I had concerns and then told me I "have too much time on my hands." The hotel caters to Israelis mostly. As a Jew myself, I thought I might feel "at home" here but....ah, I won't say what I'm thinking on that topic. The rooms are showing
  6. Monday, May 15, 2006 Perfect weather today. Not too hot, not too cool along Beach Road and Naklua. TOM KHA GAI A FEW FROM THE PAST
  7. Soi Buakow is my home away from home. I am a devotee of the markets, restaurants, and various bars in the area. It's also home to the bulk of working girls. This photo is facing South towards the Buakow Market. I enjoy sitting on the small metal tables alongside the Thais trying some of the multitude of foods available at the market. My only gripe is that it's a narrow soi with traffic in both directions. When slower moving vehicles such as baht buses hog the lane, most (all?) drivers of ALL vehicles will attempt to overtake the slower vehicles which can have some painful results.
  8. Yes there is! Just around the corner. How convenient...
  9. Sunday, May 14, 2006 Today’s report is a little short as the clouds coming in from the North looked menacing. LOW TIDE ON PATTAYA BEACH. THE BOARDWALK ALONG THE BEACH DOES LOOK NICE. STUCK IN TRAFFIC. THE 99 BAHT BBQ BUFFET I DINED AT LAST NIGHT. (1 WEEK LATER…). IF ONLY… A LITTLE BETTER
  10. LINKS: http://www.thaigarden.com/t3/english/tg_eng_moonriver.htm http://www.pattayacitynews.net/adverts/moonriver.wmv I always have fun at The Moon River Pub. Starting at 9:00pm until 2:00am, there’s a live band from the Philippines taking requests (each table has song request cards). Dancing in front of the stage is popular or you can play pool. It is nicely air-conditioned and a good place to meet foreigners and Thais. All the walls are covered in egg cartons so the sound is fantastic. The bar is also handicap friendly and you can order beer towers at your table which is kept chil
  11. My girl du jour and I went to dinner there tonight on 3rd road across from Route 999. One must dress for the occasion as the heat from the coals really kick your ass. FIRST YOU PICK YOUR FOOD LET IT GRILL AND MARINATE IN THE SOUP AND ENJOY! DOES ANYONE OTHER THAN ISSAN GIRLS WEAR BERMUDA SHORTS?
  12. February 13, 2006 Makka Bucha or Full Moon Day. A few GoGo girls formed various teams for a fun day of sports, drinking, and sticky rice! If you like what you see, let it be known. HUBBA HUBBA!
  13. Saturday, May 13, 2006 My girlfriend has a minor ailment so she checked into Pattaya International Hospital. Kudos to the wonderful staff who made her overnight a peaceful one. I like that nurse in the top right of the first pic :) Then I went for lunch across the street at Big C. I highly recommend the Pad Thai here. Off to Naklua to the blind massage. I recommend #45 or #26 for soft and #57 (man) for hard. Then I enjoyed my daily snack of Pork, Rice, and Noodle sausages. And some nice company in the evening. We enjoyed

  15. Hi everyone. I live in Pattaya. My hobby is daytime photography. On this board, it is often asked: “What is there to see during the day?†I will be trying to show the day life side of Pattaya with some commentary exclusively for PattayaTalk. Good for reminiscing for the veteran visitors and also for newbies planning their first trip. If there’s something you want to see and/or wish to ask, please feel free here on the open board. Maybe another BM or I can answer this for you. It’s a lot of work putting it all together so I hope you enjoy the photos. PENTHOUSE HOTEL GOGOS
