  1. the best pizza i encountered in pattaya was in the globetrotter hotel & restaurant. See the pizza-menu overhere... http://www.globetrotter-thai.50megs.com/menu10-17.html not a flashy place, but clean and "arroy maak"... i could not eat the complete pizza because of to big. Altough i am not a "small eater". They also do home delivery by motorbike-taxi.
  2. Diana dragon, did stay there for 2 months about 6 yeras ago. Reason, because it was cheap (6000 bath a month). At that time it wasn't to bad (altough noisy). These days, if it stil is the same as past year, they had 2 or 3 TV's in the restaurant, especialy for footbal-lovers. THAT was noisy, a big part of the night footbal. If you stay there for 2 days, keep in touch about the present situation. Maybe i wil go there again some days...

  5. Hello, sorry to say, but, the situation has changed dramaticly. Someone opened a karaoke next door and is paying the police to stay open late, that is until 7 in the morning. They play their music so loud that, when you stay in the appartments, you wil NOT sleep unles you are deaf. And, also, the sanya-peoples wil NOT tel you that when you make the reservation, even more, when you mail them ask about it they wil say "there isn't ANY problem at al". Then, when you arrive, you wil have to pay your ful stay in advance, the first day before the evening comes. Later you wil discover about the night-noise. This happened to me: i arrived there and it was to late to exchange $$$ for bath. So they told me i could pay the next day. I slept (or didn't sleep at all !!) and made a complain to the sanya-peoples. I told them if the music didn't stop at 1 o'clock nighttime i would go somewere else. The next day they came on with the new rule: 5 days extra if i checked out before my reservation-date. I did not agree with it and told them, and did get this answer: if i would not pay the 5 days extra it would be the same for them as i didn't pay my bill and they would go to the police, with as a result, the police would notice immigration so i would not recieve my exit-stamp on the airport. This is pure blackmail, and i wouldn't take the risk, and didn't have any choice but paying the 5 days extra. I could have gone to the tourist-police.... ?? Anyway, be warned for these mafioso-practises. My advice, just stay away from them, plenty of places to stay in Pattaya, places with honest owners. When you take a look at the sanya-site and check their availability, you wil see more and more white space every day. I just wonder, wich place wil be gone first: the karaoke or the appartments...
  6. Hello, bad news about Sanya-appartments... Just next to the appartments someone has opened a karaoke-bar. They play LOUD music until 7 in the morning, so, unles you are deaf, you wont sleep at al in sanya-appartments. Peoples are leaving after one day (or, night...). The responce of the boss of sanya-apprtments: if you leave early, then they charge you 5 extra days. If you dont pay, they report you to the police as a non-payer and then they wil catch you on departure on the airport. At this time, stay away from sanya-apps, my advice. If you mail sanya about the karaoke next door ( the name is FOURFILL), you wil get an answer saying there is no problem at all. Do not believe them, i was there the 2nd part of september 2006 and i did have to pay th 5 extra days, or, they treathent me, i would be reported as a non-payer. Wouldnt take the risk so i payed, but also filed a complain with tourist police. If this wil help at all...
  7. have a look at the site and be sure to look at the pictures. http://www.sanya-apartments.com/ I did stay there for one month in february and wil go there again. The owner, Louis, is a Dutch guy. Whatever you need, he wil try to help you. You can rent motorbikes from him for 100 bat a day as wel. The appartment-rooms are HUGHE. Facilities are: aircon, shower hot-cold, safe in the room, TV AND dvd-player (and many dvd-movies free to use !!!) The fair is low, just 590 bath a day (no monthly rates) with 10% discount until end of 2006. About the location, it is on the market-place at the end of soi Buakaow, when you come from south pattaya road it wil be soi 22 (almost opposit if Friedship supermarket). There are some con's: not much taxis are running that way. Never the less, it is within walkingdistance (10 minutes) to soi diana. Twice a week there wil be "market" on the marketplace, so, some nightly or morning-noice but not that much for killing you. There is no joiner-fee, and the girls will say" wow" when they see the rooms. On the same marketplace you wil find other appartments, some of them wil be cheaper, you just have to go and take a look for yourself. Around the aerea there are some bars and restaurants, and a 7/11 nearby. My advice: have a loo-around on the site. According to me these appartments are real hidden gems. For the same accomodation on a better location you would have to pay over 1000 bat a day for sure. But, the location isn't a real handicap beacuse transportation is cheap in Pattya.
