I have a spare room in my house. What would it be worth to you?

The laws are only enforced in Thailand when the Thai's want to enforce them. About 4 years ago, on New Years Eve night, I got pretty loaded and drove my car into a ditch. Police came, called a wrecker, pulled the car out, picked me up off the ground as I was so drunk I couldn't walk, put me in my car, started it for me, and said "have a safe drive home". The laws are more "guidlines" than actual laws. P.S. The fucking guy called last night. Bank wont give him the money for the house. He is pissed off again. This thing might get worse in a hurry?

just an ivitation letter from a Thai company is all it takes. At least, the last time I had to get one in the USA without being an expat. That was 6 years ago. Things might have changed?

as long as you are being paid from outside Thailand they can prove nothing. also you need to have Business Visa.

Police argued with me a little about why I brought my gun along with me. I told them in case they didn't do their job as usual. That seemed to rub them the wrong way for some reason?
-
That's some funny shit there man. The money will be immediately put down for the purchase of 10 rai of land with apartment complexes and one factory building to be used as a recycling business. Good try though old chap

The meeting went off with pretty much no conflict. I did get into an argument with the police a little bit before the other guy arrived, but that was pretty much it. He has agreed to pay the full amount for the house and land. He assured me that he is just angry because the younger sister left him and he still oves her. He claims he did it for love..... DUMB FUCKER! Only time will tell if this is really over, or just another lull in the action?

Well hey, I try to do, what I can do, when I can do it. Do you know what I mean? I am more of a old school Eddie Murphey, Dice Clay, Sam Kinison type of person myself. Jay Leno? Yeah I fucked him (per the Dice Man). Jay Leno? Who the fuck is Jay Leno? Some kind of cock sucker? (Eddie Murphey) Jay Leno? Hehehehehehehehehehe, yeah I know Jay. He's a cock sucker but other than that he is okay (Sam Kinison). What I wouldn't give to get some DVD versions of old Eddie Murphey, Dice Clay & Sam Kinison stand up acts!

Well, I am a errogant American tyrant. Why didn't you ever respond to my wind ups? I agree, electronics is a foreign language to me. All I know how to do is turn them on and off.

Non-Immigrant B visa to apply for Work Permit,
Big Chief replied to LocalYokul's topic in Expat Issues
The "teeth" stuff is just an easy way to wind up the Brits. For some reason it seems to hit a nerve with some. The stuff about the Royal family used to, but not so much any more. The 51st state and Blair and Bush is pretty common knowledge. I do not believe that the majority of the Brits are in favor of Blair and his following of Bush. Hey! I think we have fucked this thread? -
I strictly buy from the "hawkers" and, as said before, never had a major problem. My comuter came from USA, and was used to lay DVD's in the USA for a couple years. Then to China during my 1 year stay there. Again, played all DVD's bought there. It also plays all the DVD's bought in Thailand. I am not sure that there is a problem with the region of the DVD's, as I have never came across this problem.

Purchase the VCD for 40 baht. I must be lucky? I have only got 1 bad DVD in the last 2 years. Over 100 purchased. The only ones I ever had problems with are the ones I bought in China. Some didn't workin my DVD player in Thailand. But they work well in my computer DVD player.
-
Why not just spend the extra 70 baht and buy the DVD? I no longer rent, I purchase.

If you are a good Sales guy, and have marketing skills, why not start a sourcing company and run it from Thailand? You provide supplier management and handle all the other stuff so the companies in the West don't have to. I know many people doing this and making a decent living. Some are rich, and some are struggling. If you know what you are doing, you should do okay.

Thanks Spike. Hopefully, after this afternoon things will be over.

Non-Immigrant B visa to apply for Work Permit,

And for the record, I have never claimed that my shit doesn't stink. I have on several occasions described the "explosive" shits that I have grown to live with. The stench after eating Issarn food and drink beer is sometimes enough to make a person puke. I do not think it would be physically possible to "kick a persons ass up between their shoulder blades" so to speak. Unless you were to dismember them first. This brings in whole new issues into a persons pyscho. I hope this to not be true. Threats of violence and dismemberment shows us what some people really think about. I will g -

You are the one that brought up children. Thie thread is about Visa's, not underage kids. Where is your head? -
If you think that all that stuff about the British is actually what I think, then you are more gullable than I expected. I love a good wind up, and it seems as the Brits are the easiest to wind up. Maybe because they still resent us for whipping their ass and taking control of our own country?

Craig, Why do you always bring up children? Are you a closet pedophile? We don't need that kind of shit around here! -
A meeting is set for today at the police station between the in-laws and this fucking cock sucker. The in-laws are going to sell the land and business if he provides a reasonable offer. Key word being reasonable. We have entered into negotiations to purchase 10 rai of land in another city about 30 kilometers North of where we are now. The "reasonable" offer will be needed for the down payment on the land. Not a bad place. It has several apartments buildings and a large building that will be used for our recycling business. Price tag is pretty good for what we would get. 20 million bah

Send me a PM and I will send you my e-mail address and you can send me your resume. Just so happens that there are a couple companies needing Project Management in Electronics.
-
You sure that aint just your own johnson you guys are holding and not any important trophy?
-
Project Management skills is a real hot item here now. Companies are going crazy over Westerners to run their new projects from start to finish. To do this, you need an abundance of manufacturing and engineering experience. They are also looking for Supplier Quality Management people. This also requires a lot of experience in manufacturing. How can you help people and teach people if you don't know what you are doing? Another good thing to have is the ability to speak Thai as well as your native tongue. This alone will not get you a good paying job, but it is a plus.
-
If that's the work you are looking for......good luck! You can get great paying jobs in the manufacturing sectors. I was getting paid 280,000 baht per month plus expenses. Not making that now, but now I get a smaller base salary and a percentage of new business from exports. When all the new projects get into full production in 2 years, I will be pulling in 400,000 baht per month.
