I've never dealt with the company you mention,but I know someone who did,and from what they said to me,I wouldn't have any dealings with them.Also if you search on Thaivisa,there are several threads concerning this company,which are self explanatory.However,as several other posters have said,the concept of a months rent in advance plus a month as deposit is quite a normal business practice

The place behind Carrefour has definitely closed,and I believe the wholesaler is now somewhere in Jomtien.We have been trying to get hold of more of both light and dark Beer Lao for weeks now,and have been told there is none in stock.We were promised a delivery yesterday which never arrived,and again today.Still no sign of it!I am going to chase them up tomorrow, and will post their telephone number.I can't find it now.

Hi this is Andy,the owner of "Le Katai" previously mentioned in this post.I did originally think about changing the name,but the place has been here for six years now,and the name is well known.Also it would mean changing the website,and links,so in the end I decided it was better to just keep it.I don't know why the original owner called it what he did,but it's easily remembered. And incidentally "katai" is Thai for rabbit,katoey is a ladyboy!!.Sounds similar,but not same same.

It's true to say that you get your old passport back if you are getting a new one because your old one has expired or is about to expire,BUT,if you get a new(replacement) passport because your old one is damaged in some way,then you do NOT get the old one back,so if this is the case,you need to have paperwork to prove the existence of the visa in the old passport.
