Gary, in response to your comment about dropping it outside the bunker you are wrong. It has to be dropped in the bunker or go back to where shot was played. If she hadn't been in the bunker you are correct, she could drop more or less anywhere. According to USGA; DefinitionsAll defined terms are in italics and are listed alphabetically in the Definitions section. The player may deem his ball unplayable at any place on the course, except when the ball is in a water hazard. The player is the sole judge as to whether his ball is unplayable. If the player deems his ball to be unplayable, he must, under penalty of one stroke: a. Proceed under the stroke and distance provision of Rule 27-1 by playing a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); or b. Drop a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped; or c. Drop a ball within two club-lengths of the spot where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole. If the unplayable ball is in a bunker, the player may proceed under Clause a, b or c. If he elects to proceed under Clause b or c, a ball must be dropped in thebunker. When proceeding under this Rule, the player may lift and clean his ball orsubstitute a ball.

I'm getting a new UK passport soon and wonder if immigration in Jomtien are asking for a letter from the British Embassy to say you have been issued a new passport. This is supposedly a requirement, not sure if I need it for a single entry 6- day tourist visa though.

I think you should seriously think if 48m is enough, I live in a 66m condo and it is barely enough, and you could get a better deal for a bigger condo in Pratumnak area which also has great views, and is very peaceful at night.

It is my understanding that you need a work permit to get financing, or do it thru your Thai partner. Toyota wouldnt give me their finance package, even though I had a multi entry visa. I think they need your employee as collateral.

Wiring Money in Thai Baht for Condo Purchase
mb3house replied to sanukcanuck's topic in Expat Issues
I dont understand why the land office need to see TT3, you only need that normally if you import foreign exchange into Thailand thru a local bank account, and WANT to export it again at a later date. The TT3 gives you the legal paper to export baht out again. Update; Just spoke to my mate a Realtor who say you do need a TT3 register at land office (maybe only for new condo) and that the company you sent the money to must obtain it for you as you sent them the money direct & not thur a Thai account. Speak to them, and tell them they need to get it for you, as they are the ones who received the money. Of course they could be spinning a yarn because they have sold more than 49% to foreigners and need some in company names. This has happened before. -
If you have Sky in the UK you can get some sort of internet addition to it, where by you can watch through the net. A guy demonstrated it to me a few weeks ago in Tropical Berts bar, using the WiFi in there, and it worked a treat, he put live rugby on from Oz!!! Unfortunately my parents dont have Sky otherwise I would piggy back offf them.

It seems I was right. There is a letter in this weeks pattaya mail saying the same thing, even the same bike number. I sure would like to get my hand on those cunts.

I was at a Kasikor bank ATM this morning, the one just before the beach in Jomtien. I paid a couple of bills, which it spat out the receipts for and then the last transaction was to get some money. I got the money and receipt, and was just waiting for the card to come back out when this hand comes over my shoulder and say"you have to press this button for receipt" pointing at the red cancel button. I knocked the cunt out of the way, and told him to get the fcuk out of my way, he then backed off. As I got on my bike he was at the ATM, and I watched what he took out, a couple of red bills, 2-300 baht at most, how many farangs only take out 2-300 baht??? He was a mediterrenean looking guy, and had a mate sat on a bike waiting, engine running. It wasnt like I kept them waiting as I continually looked round while I was doing multiple transactions and nobody was behind me, he got straight of the bike and walked up to the ATM and tried to fuck with my transaction. Obviuosly then he would try something on, not sure what. I followed them, and he did it again at another ATM by Familymart/7-11 on the corner by the statue, and then I followed them into Pattaya, but lost them at the lights in South Patts. It was a Yamaha Mio, number plate 50. I didnt report it to tourist police because I dont hassle, I'm leaving early tomorrow. WATCH out for these guys.

what the fcuk would a septic know about Roast Beef anyway????? It is one of my locals, and I've never had bad service at any time in the last two years, most of the times it is the opposite. One of the many things we need to educate (and you notice I say "many") you Shermans in is the art of friendly banter in a bar. Personnaly I'm not comfortable if someone doesnt tell me to get fcuked straight away once I stand at the bar, this opens the possibilities of a conversation up right away (such as "what the fuck do you want"), where by we can really get started then. Nothing brings more satisfaction than to insult people of many races, and get them wound up. Of course you could sit on your own like a really sad twat, I've seen that before, there was a guy in last week did that. He didnt move for 30 mins, he was there that long there was moss growing on him, and a bird was nesting in his hair. As for the Thai bashing, funny as 50% of the guys are married/long time GF with Thai's. Hopefully see you next week, when I'll be having another drink with a couple of convicts, an ice monkey and some sweaty's, and there'll all cunts

As of today, prices will be in the region of 120,000/SqM. All condo's above 37th floor are reserved for investors, and price on the top floor is 127,500, decreasing around 500 baht per floor. What a fcuking rip off.

RE; "paranoid prats" I dont think it's being paranoid spending a couple of your hours obtaining a licence for the country you are living in, it makes you legal as a driver, something you are not if you dont have one, although a current International licence is good most of the time. you may have been lucky 3 times, but maybe not the next time. Also, we dont all have a Thai wife to sort it out, so it just makes plain sense. By the way, a partner in a well known expat bar was involved in serious accident the other day, the police wouldn't accept bribe money, he will be convicted, serve jail time and be deported.

A friend of mine spoke to their manager here, and he advised the price is now going to be nearer 90,000 baht/SQM, they are getting very greedy indeed.
-
The latest I heard from a friend who called them was an August release. I think the post about investors getting 1st choice etc,etc is spot on, they get in at bottom price and try and sell at 60-100% mark up purely as an investment. That's why I wont be buying off them.

Northshore went on the market @ 55,000 baht/SqM. At the time I was told to buy as an investment, because it would only go up. The reason it has gone up is because of speculators, who ask silly money, and always seem to find a buyer for it (yes, those ones who think it is cheap compared to home). I didn't buy, because I wont put my hard earned money in their pocket, and still wont. I have 3 friends who have bought in N-Shore, one is being told he can rent a 64 m3 apartment for 45,000/month!!! anyone who pays that is crazy. Northpoint, according to Raimon will go on the market anytime in the next week or so. You would be interested to know that they give preferencial treatment to investors before they let the general public in on them. That way they buy at the lowest price and sell once the building is complete.
