Mate, you are probably correct. The BNP attract a huge amount of bad publicity, partly due to their past but also I am a strong believer that the current government ENSURE there is bad press to try and keep them down! They are a dangerous party for the likes of Cons and Labour because they are now beginning to attract A LOT of interest from those totally pissed off with immigration, unfair balances between ethnics and white but more importantly they have a system to deal with this and get Britain back to the way it should really be. Who gives a fuck if we are tolerant if we display great futures for immigrants, FUCK ALL THAT, what about the indigenous population who are being shafted up the dung hole every day by unequal rights and bullshit laws. I have never been a believer in racism or bigotry but rest assured, over the past 5 years the more I see and read about these immigrants coming here then crying to the authorities the more I get a hatred. The more I begin to realise, WHAT ABOUT MY RIGHTS. I have experienced this bullshit 1st hand in my previous job. Most Immigrants are the leeches of society, moaning and constantly complaining. Because I never bent over backwards and treated them as I would the white man I GOT SHIT! I promise you, if this continues it will go 1 of 2 ways. Either the ethnic minority (as they were) will rule this country OR the indigenous population will rise up and the future is going to be something similar to South USA in the bad old days with gangs running about in pillow cases. I for one have had enough and the 1st chance I get I am out of here. I am not staying in a country where I have very few rights over immigrants! Their loss, they lose an educated, skilled and experienced tradesman and technician. Who earns a fair old wedge and pays a large amount of tax. I am only 1 but as this continues so will the number of people leaving. I am fortunate in so much, the oil and gas industry is worldwide and one of the few jobs that where ever you go it is similar.

Cough cough, WTF is that the same Holland that was trying to bring in a ban on wearing the veil for muslims? BNP is NOT an obscure British Facist political party. They do hold certain seats within local and national Government, hardly obscure. Many of their policies are very well thought out, some not so well thought out. They also have a very racist and violent back ground which does them no favours. On a serious note however. If this party did not have the violent roots and racist back ground, they could very well have numerous more seats, such is the distrust and under current within the UK. Unfortunately, many of those who follow the party are also racists, however, many are not and are normal hard working decent people, only seeking security and the UK back in their own hands. If you cast your mind back 70 years, south Germany had a very similar styled party, called the Nazi party, who came to power due to various circumstances, some of these being the immigration policies. The fact immigrants were taking jobs from the national population. Very similar to what is and has happened in the UK. These days we all believe we are better educated with history being our biggest ally. That being the case, why would a party with such roots even gain 1 seat let alone all those they have? I would say the UK is at a point where there is either equal rights or the likes of the BNP will continue to gain many more votes. You need only look at these 'wankers' displaying utter hatred to our troops return from war zones a few weeks back. They were allowed to continue and completely ruin what should have been a joyful home coming. In return, some weeks later, a large group of white UK citizens then marched to display unity for our troops and to disown these muslims. Guess what, they were stopped and not permitted to continue! THAT is why parties such as the Nazi's and now the BNP gain huge numbers of votes! It actually is not the ethnic minorities but the white indigenous population of the UK who are causing this! Yes ok, The ethnics go running every time they have the chance holding of the racist cards, but why? BECAUSE these idiots in Government have permitted this to happen and bow to their wishes. The BNP policies are actually VERY similar to that of Australia. It is however their background and history that prevents them progressing. But rest assured, one day, if things continue as they are, this small party will start to make ground and will one day be in a position of power. That is providing the indigenous population are not over taken by immigrants of course. Which in my book is the more likely outcome. I for one would not welcome the BNP. I have a Thai GF and she would face the brunt of their harsh policies. However, I accept with the way things are moving this may one day be the case! I for one will leave the UK as soon as I can. Let us not forget that the BNP use the term "paki" to encapsulate anyone from South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh). Stereotypes are generalisations and, as such, suck. We in Britain have had a highly questionable history of morally reprehensible colonialism, but it is gratifying to recognise that we have grown out of that dark historical phase and the UK is now the most vibrant and liberal bastion of multiculturalism in Europe, and possibly on the planet. To be even-handed, I would add that it is embarrasing for me (as part of the Indian diaspora) that Indians in particular have created a "cheap charlie" vision in the mindsets of the gorgeous Thai girls. But these are money-deficient Indians from India (and not necessarily all of them), and most certainly not the more well-heeled variety of professional Indian (doctors, investment bankers, businessmen etc) from the USA and Europe. I would hope that Thai bar owners have the vision and the human decency to not ban Indians simply because they are Indian. Such practice in the UK would lead to a swathe of lawsuits and the closing down of bars which operate in such a discriminatory manner. Does Thailand not have race discrimination legislation? BNP has nothing to do with Thailand and nothing what so ever to do with the matter under debate, its even further off topic :) Unlike the UK Thailand has very little, if any, acceptance of multiculturalism and comparing stereotyping to that of the BNP just cannot be done I am afraid. Every Thai that I have ever discussed this subject with, with the exception of 2 are all wrong and are not thinking in the manner they should according to Joe. Going back to the OP, bottom line, for what ever reasons, Indian's and arab's DO face unwarranted discrimination regardless of what ever anybody says, I have witnessed it, been there with friends when it happened to them, read it on 'another forums' where MANY were discriminated against and have it 1st hand from Thai's themselves as to why. It is a fact that Thailand doesn't have any anti racist laws like we do in the 'west'. Like it or not that is the way it is and nobody will change that until the Thai's realise it. Its great to get away from all the PC bullshit of the west and all the rules and regulations but there are prices to pay for that in other ways. I am more than happy to point you in the direction of the 'other posts' but am not prepared to do it in the forum. That is unfair on this forum. I am not getting 'upset' but it does some what piss me off when someone twists posts and takes them out of context then starts up a whole new argument about something that was never said or certainly not said in the context he is taking it in. It is just as likely something could happen in the south of Thailand as it is in UK or USA. Mores so mainly due to the lower standards of policing, security and the general lack of peace in the area and how unsettled it is. I don't see what you are disagreeing with though? You agree there are warnings out in that area and that is all I said about it? All overseas companies in high risk ventures will receive communications from their respective governments. To fail to heed these can result in the loss of billions. I accept your take on the area, and I accept my knowledge of the area, but I would still be considerably more aware of my surroundings there than I would be in Scotland, that I assure you. I have watched BBC and many other news related stories clearly documenting the bombings carried out by muslims both Thai and from Malaysia, I NEVER SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY ONES UNDERTAKING THESE DEEDS. I have also seen it on Thai TV. South Thailand is mainly Muslim, if not totally and has 'annexed' off several years ago. As pointed out it was recommended and at peak times in the past accommodation is not always as easy to find when you are hauling a suitcase about. Sometimes its just easier to book in advance. I tend to book 2 maybe 3 days in advance unless I am staying for a complete month. $30 a beer? Shit prices have risen since I was last in the US! A LOT! 1k each is a decent amount to spend in any bar! Man the inflation in the US and now Thailand appear to be in line with each other 200/250B a beer? Shit you must drink in bars that rip you off big time. Can meet up sometime and I will show you pattaya where beers range from 40B to maybe 100 a bottle? To the OP I think most issues have been covered and 2 of the main offenders guilty of discrimination named. I would say however, it is a reputation earned by other India's and Arabs who have treated the girls very poorly. It doesn't take long for word to get about. You also have to remember Muslim's are bombing the south of Thailand regularly, unlike the west, Thai's DO NOT have a lot of time for races/people who attack them and tend to tar everyone with the same brush I have met up with a couple of arabs previously and spent a few nights in their company and it is WEIRD the look Pattaya takes on with these guys beside you! I felt sorry for them on so many instances. The worst was Soi 8, sexy girl agogo, I love this gogo and although was amazed this night it would not prevent my return as it was not the gogo at fault. As we entered (unhindered) a couple of the girls waved as got to know a fair few of them over various trips. As I walked to a seat one girl (who I didn't know) was sat in the seats and I gave her a little 'grope'. No problem, just a smile. As one of the young arabs guys with me went to do likewise, she screamed and ran off. A lot of it is down to ignorance. But there are so many horror stories about Indian's and arabs gang raping BG's etc.. You are not going to change their opinion or the way they think, so you got to combat it and just accept it.

Played Bangpra, bit of a drive but worth it :) Watch the monkeys, violent little bastards! The caddies wont win any beauty contests but had a good laugh with them :) Bangpra has the facility to walk, I did and damn, I enjoyed the walk :) Golf wasn't too bad as well :) Playing golf without a caddy .... never thought about it over there, I think u would be looked at as if u had grown a 3rd head
