  1. I know Emirates charge £75 to change a flight but they won't always accept it. It's fair enough. I could book a £525 return flight with a 23 hour stop over in Dubai because the 3 hour turn around was over £1000! Get to Dubai and ask to change the flight saving me £400. Many of the operators know this and combat it now by refusing to change your flight or charge a huge whack extra.
  2. We should remember past and current battles and those brave soles fighting in current conflicts and their families who live day to day worrying. Hat off to them all.
  3. I use Mr. Dream myself. Never ever had a problem and used him for other trips to BKK etc.. Reasonably priced and nice big Volvo cars so tons of space.
  4. It's a joke. Taxing people on flights from another country. It's about time people opened their eyes to this scam. The UK are hungry for money just now, but still throw billions overseas in aid?!?!? Makes no sense. Maybe one time, before I die, we will get a government with a back bone. The 'gay twins' just now make me feel violently sick every time I see them! SPINELESS the pair of them. As normal, they target the easy ones, the tax payers! Twats
  5. 700B for one night? I know the Rockhouse isn't well accepted on here but you can get a room there, far bigger during off peak for 650 or there abouts. Each to their own I suppose. I have seen worse accommodation but seen far better for that price.
  6. What is a disgrace is you can fly from the UK to Holland and then onwards to Thailand but these tricksters want to charge you for the second leg? It shouldn't be permitted. Yes they can tax the 1st leg as we leave the UK to get to Holland, there after it has nothing what so ever to do with this country IMO.
  7. Scotland England Wales Northern Ireland France Belgium Holland Germany Italy Spain Canary Islands Cyprus Turkey Austria USA Hong Kong/China Oz Thailand UAE Cambodia Brazil 21 but will accept 20 due to Canaries :)
  8. The entire city of Pattaya floods. I have never ever seen Metro flood but have waded through water up to my nuts in Soi Diana soi 7 soi 8, etc.. I have however seen some water run through as the water finds its way from Baukauw. Metro itself doesn't really flood.
  9. I have stayed in this area now many times. The 2 of choice have been The Rockhouse. Huge rooms and good bar. Metro Apartments. Again huge rooms and good bar. Never had a problem with noise.
  10. Until it comes to cleaning the twats! Royal pain in the ASS
  11. Big man standing between to huge security guards spouting his poison at the bloke eh? What a wanker
  12. Having travelled for many years to Thailand I am proud to say I have never changed cash in the UK. The exchange rate is shocking in comparison. The 'free' cheque are never that as they normally change them into your destinations currency.
  13. Ebookers are? May just be expensive the dates you are looking at!
  14. So with all this in mind, what is the best UK bank account just now for the traveller? Who offers the best overseas rates etc?
  15. He says online? Not calling them? But if it is like any international money order, there is an option on the application as to how you want your money transferred, you opt for UK£ You will probably be charged by the Thai bank as well. Never actually done it to Thailand but have done it to China for import purposes.
  16. very simple to answer this accurately, FUCKING TOTAL SHITE :) Hope that helps
  17. Areca in Soi Diana? Short walk down to beach road and baht bus? Pattaya Bay. Not been there though but presume they will have parking
  18. Thats a bit of a wide open question! Most 'HOTELS' have parking. Where you wanting to stay? How much you looking to pay for a night? There are hundreds with parking
  19. No thats shite. You book in as normal. :) Decent enough rooms, as gunslinger says the junior suites are probably not the greatest. Enclosed bedroom and no window, and the vews from the balcony are very restricted. I would go for one of the cheaper rooms. Even the 900B is CERTAINLY not worth the money, you can get a room similar to this for 600B elsewhere. But I have to say, it is a superb little hotel and I would advise anybody to give it a go without hesitation. Wifi available but the safes are in the lobby. Other than that its perfect and lovely little pool
  20. Not at all A. You will pick up a good second hand one for 5k. You get what you pay for. The facilities on a N95 are superb, but you may not need them all? I don't know. I tend to use most of the facilities on these phones, i.e. internet, modem, GPS etc.. You get what you need mate, not what I need. I was having a little 'joke' with you
  21. Hell yeah, you can get these cheap second hand mate, even a basic N95 would suffice with an 8g memory card. But I think he opted for a cheap charlie bucket :)
  22. N95 8gig is still quite a current phone IMO, has most of the applications required in todays world, most of the new ones only do it faster not necessarily better. Touch screen is shit and not something I would ever want or advise others to buy. Only opinion.
  23. Will you stop thread fucking everything you come across. You may like the drivel that is emited from your keyboard, must others don't. You managed to fuck up PL for long enough, try not doing it to yet another board. There's a good boy.
  24. Nokia N95 8 gig I currently have a Nokia N82 with 16g memory card. Has full internet, email, modem for lappy and with that memory can down load a pile of music :) N82 is somewhat dated as is the n95 now a days. The one big beauty of the N82 is the camera, which has a xenon flash not an LED. Depends what you are wanting though. The security on most nokias is not bad as can put in a timed lock, sy 30 secs and a pin code is required to open it
