I know that the Sabai Lodge has a new wing but didn`t know that the Sabai Inn also has a new wing.

I also dislike a rock hard bed but didn`t have any trouble sleeping so it couldn`t have been that hard. They are bigger than a king size bed. Get a room on the seaward side. Cheers

emailed krongfa to book a car .Forty minutes later I recieved a email back confirming my booking. Wonder why they took so long. Cheers

Hi Kiwilad. Not at all keen on BKK, much prefer to head direct to Pattaya. Pity as it would have been good to share a ride. Am going to have a few at the Kiwi Club maybe run into you there.

makavelli Why not ring the Emirates office and ask them to reserve the seat number of your choise .I do it here with Thai Air. Of course you have see the seating plan to know what number you want. Thai air disembarks the economy class starting with the passengers on the port ( left)side first .Never traveled with Emerates so don`t what side they empty first. Cheers

Last time there I used Powerbobs contact nnot the newest car but comfortable. Had make a special trip toairport to pick up a bag I left on the plane inSydney Spent about a hour at the air port where the driver was a great help. Cost for the trip there and back . 850 baht plus tolls plus a 200 B. tip for his excellent help. Just to toss something new in. cheers:

Thanks for that Starry. No not that illiterate Have been both sites plus r24. Through those sites a deposit is required you are then commited to staying there. I prefer to get a price then on arrival look at the rooms and if ok negotiate,if not happy then move to another on my list. Cheers:

Where is the best place to start ? Simple, join the members at no cost. Read the FAQ. Don`t forget to print out the prices quoted there they will come in handy' Spend at least a day scrolling through the various topics to get the basics. Then post a few questions. Then come to Pattaya and your life will be changed forever. Cheers.

Have always chosen # 32 with the full knowledge that the screen wasn`t visible

Also only travel Sardine class.Whenever I have booked and paid for my ticket I have thenreserved my chosen seat #through Thai Air office.Always when picking up my boarding pass my seat # has been on it. Wombat thanks for the tip as after 5 yrs of travel to LOS was talked into joining Royal Orchid by flight Centre and Thai Air office. Big Mike my logic in seat preference is that the first passengers off the plane would be First then Bus. followed by Sardine starting fromseat #31 the exit used would be by seat # 11 in Bus. class. It seems to me that exit by seat # 40 is over the wing. What thinkest thou. I did post that Thai sent me a plan of the MD11. My lift off is on Aug 30
-
Just reread your post properly . Window exit seats that you refer to would be the #31 etc seats.
-
Rang the Thai Air office and asked if I could reserve a seat on the 600 but was then told that the 600 delivery was put back a few months and the MD11 was to take it`s place After a bit of talk about it I then asked if they could send me a copy of the Md11 no trouble she said and would put it in the post on the same day. Next day said plan arrived in the mail .Worked wich seat I wanted and rang them back and asked for seat #31A bit was told that only the Airport could allocate #31A 31B 31j and 31K for special reasons. So settled on seat #32 to BKK and as #32 had already been booked on the way back chose #33A. So there is my seats all reserved . Try ringing Thai Air at Auck. Hope this is some help. Cheers

BKK - Amari Atrium - £31 sounds like a bargain
Fonz replied to stamboy's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Stayed there about 5yr ago the rooms are big with big And I mean big beds . Left on the beds at night is a note asking if you want the sheets changed No wonder as the sheets are huge and must be hard to wash. From memory there is a dine/dance bar called the Tequila Bar where I think that after the bar shuts you could arrange with a service girl to share your bed but don`t quote me on that. Good food at a good cost and the music is great. All the staff were top notch. There is a lounge area on the main floor where when you order a drink the girl who brings it to you kneels to put your drink along with a couple of pieces of finger food on your small table .A nice touch. Enjoyed my 4 day stay. -
