The A340-600 that was to have it`s inaugural flight non stop BKK- ALK on July 18th has now been delayed till November and even that may not happen as there has been a delivery delay. The nonstop flights will still go ahead but with a twin engine plane the one that flys ALK- SYD. Time of flight will still be 12hrs 10 mins

There isn`t any Premium Economy on the A340/600 that will be flying Alk/BKK/Alk just the Economy.
-
My itinerary for non stop AKL/BKK is on a Air Bus Industrie A340-600 .

Weird, first Emirates offer nz$769 then later nz#699. Maybe the 769 was inclusive of fees. Iain What did you pay for your ticket
-
CorrectionI rang and confirmed with Albany Flight Center before my post of March 30 should have been March 26. Nodidn`t take up this as am going to Ptty Aug/Sept. Cheers
-
Longy. The quoted price of $699 was advertised in the Auck Herald March 26(the same that I posted it) by Flight Centre, they also quoted Brisbane one way $95 . I rang and confirmed with Albany Flight Center before my post of March 30 Hope this helps.
-
Hot deal. Thai Air, Auck/Syd/ BKK return $nz 699 plus fees. Must travel by June 30. Emirates $769 plus. Got to be a price war started.

Calling all Aussies! Thia prices for April onwards

Emirates air fares Auck/Syd/Bkk return $nz769. Valid 02May-30 Jun. Max stay 35 days. Only valid on EK operated flight numbers EK 418/419. The above prices are exclusive of departure taxes, fuel surcharges, airport taxes and airline insurance charges. Would flight #EK 418/419 be those lousy arrival times? Cheers -
The $999 fare includes 4 nights in BKK The $929 fare is for return ticket only Had booked on the $999 price, but whe n I saw the 929 rang Flight at Albany and they gave me the lower price. Said that they would ring me when payment was wanted.(They know me there) Cheers:
-
Hi longy, $890 is a good price BUT you cannot reserve a seat ,most likely end up at the back end of the plane. Ticket only price now $ 929 with Thai Air with direct flight.

Taltos are you any further ahead.

Was at the Sabai Inn last Aug.paid 800B. a nght walk in price. No bath just a big shower and the bed is large. Am undecided wher to stay this Aug./Sept. so will stay at Thai Palace a night then in the morning wiss around on a motor taxi and look at a couple of places . BTW does any one know anything about the T.P. it has 3 good reports that are 3yrs. old.But I guess staying there even for a couple of nights shouldn`t be a hardship. Cheers:

Hi Ben Boat Jim and wellcome to the board. Rang my local Flight Centre this morning and she said that she was going to a meeting tonight at Thai Air ,said to ring her tomorrow (15/3/05) would then be able to tell me the latest. So ring your agent tomorrow. I usually go to Ptty Aug/Sept as I think it starts to get warmer after that Cheers.

makavelli. Why not put a report in the hotels section, then it will be there for allto see for a longer time
-
geedeeo. Sabai Inn has large bed that is 2 singles fastened together but feels like 1bed A large shower with sliding drs. No balcony, pools across the road in sister hotel Sabai Lodge free use of. All other in your list is there Have stayed at the Inn but not at the Lodge. Get outside room beach side. Sabai Inn is in Soi 2 ,where ever so often baht buss comes right past it`s door.

Understand that RG has hard beds. Remember someone posting that he had 2 rooms adjoining that could work out at less cost
