Some time ago there was a link posted to apartment in South Pattaya, similar in style to the Res Garden and out that way but maybe further back towards Suk road. Can't remember the name or find the link now. Does anyone know the place? Thanks, SD.

I like the Residence Garden but for me there is one downfall and that it is difficult to close the apartment main door without slamming it. This noise travels and I am invariably woken by the sound of slamming doors. I belive there is a fix though, if they would put a little oil on the striker plate where the latch close it would make it possible to just pull the door closed without having to slam it. Could someone suggest this to the hotel owner? It's a simple thing and would improve even further quality of life there. I know it bothers others as both my 'neighbours' at the RG commented on it. Pete? Someone? Please mention it to the owner...

And another fact of life in Pattaya is that you can stay in a hotel and everything is fine every trip and then it suddenly falls apart without reason so I have some sympathy with the original poster. Secondly I agree that some guys cause their own problems but there is no suggestion the original poster did so so why bother to post that?

What is the building work, is it a new wing at RG?

Ghost, Please let us know how you get on. It is a valid point you make, in Thailand I keep late hours and like to sleep during the day. I am a light sleeper and find it hard to sleep well in Thailand. Cheers, Stump_Dog.

Hi, Has anyone stayed here? If it's up to the standard of the Residence Garden I'm sure it's very good. Is there a pool? Are the rooms similar to RG? Is it quiet for sleeping during the day? Is it guest friendly? Finally are the phones direct dial, can I connect a laptop and is there a desk to stand it on. Many thanks, Stump_Dog.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I called in a couple of days ago and took a look at the rooms, they look great! Sadly I leave to travel home on the 22nd but I will be back in around 6 weeks so I will be sure to book in advance for my next stay. Regards, SD.

Hi, The Residence Gardens deal looks good. I am already in Pattaya but looking to change hotel. Do I need to book online or can I take a walk up to the hotel and book for the special deal direct at reception? Thanks in advance!
