I have to agree about Beefeater's. I had a meal in there that was so unbelievably good, I ordered the same to take home and eat later. They would be my hands down best choice for steak that I've tried so far. Alas they are not as cheap as some of the other places, but you get your money's worth. A few other places I think worthy of mention, the Beer Garden has a huge filet mignon for a very modest price, that is pretty darn good. And I have heard from multiple friends, expats and tourists alike that My Way is possibly even better then Beefeater's. I'll get back to you on that one in a few weeks.

I have always used, and refer all my friends to Mr. Dim's Taxi service. He is a great guy in person, speaks English very well. He has a nice sized newer mini-van, so can take several people at a time if your arriving with friends. Smoking is allowed, and he is more then happy to slow down or even pull over to let you get some pictures. He has taken me to get my Sak Yant tattoos done, and stayed the entire time with me, translating when necessary. He will do everything from airport pickups/dropoffs, day trips, and even any of the touristy stuff like the tiger zoo or the crocodile farm. I would recommend him to anyone I know, as he has not only never been late for any of my friends or myself, but always shows up early. The only driver I know that has a 100% approval rating from my friends and myself. His prices are very comparable with all the other transports, with pickups form BKK to Pattaya running 1200baht. If you need to arrange a pickup by email, I make nothing from his service, he is just a good friend, and a good man, so I do all that I can to give him all my and my friends business. Thanks for the kind words my friend lol. I'll admit, I have extensive hospitality experience, but as anyone will tell you, a bar in Pattaya is a whole other story. I try to look at the girls and think about what would make me happy, what girls I would want to take home, what kind of bar is comfortable for me and my friends, and thats what I put into the bar. I do my best to bring the highest quality ladies for a guesthouse bar, and do my best to makes sure that every customer who steps foot into the place leaves happy. Even if a customer has a problem, we deal with it immediately to make sure that again, everyone is happy. I will keep on doing my best, to bring the newest, and some of the favorites from around town into the bar. The more of you that visit the more girls I can bring in. So I appreciate all the support everyone in town has give me so far. And I would like so say thanks to Martin from FLB, whom I have watched over the internet for the past 2 years prior to "being in the biz". FLB is a great bar with a great band, and a fun place to hang out as well. This was actually the first forum I initially joined all those years ago, but got sucked in to some of the other ones, so my posting here is minimal at best, maybe even non-existent up till now. I try to take the best parts of all the bars that me and my friends like, and add little things here and there into 3Som Bar to make it a truly unique place. As I start to bring in all the good stuff and things that make the bar stand out after the reno's are done, it will be a fun, chilling, hanging out and grabbing a bite to eat, or just meeting up kind of place. A bar that suits all customers from every age group, and every taste, we will have it all. Sorry If I'm rambling on about my own bar lol, I guess its not the best way to promote it. First let me say hello to those of you who do not yet know me. Many of those in Patts at the moment, or who are active on other boards as well probably know who I am. I am also the manager of the 3Som Bar & Guesthouse on Soi LK Metro. We are an extremely friendly and liberal hotel, no joiners fees or anything of the sort, and will hold you guests ID's if requested. The bar is good fun and we are nearing completion in the next few days of all our renovations to the bar, and to the rooms. We also have one of our Deluxe rooms featuring the 3Som Super King bed, its 1 and 1/2 times the size of a normal king bed, so it is perfect for when you would like to bring back those extra guests. Feel free to pop in and say hello, or just stop by for a drink and a lady. We are a 100% no hassle bar. The ladies will either approach you and ask to sit, or wait for you to let them know that you are interested. My name is also Jason, so either ackademik or Jason will suit me fine if you stop in.
