Alan, As can be seen you will not get a "single" answer to your question, and whilst most seem to take in to account their needs, there seems to be little consideration for her's. The guy offered free draft beer and a chance of a free barfine I went to the last one, don't drink draft so bought my own, but there was 20 or so guys there taking advantage of the offer, and one of them picked up the free bar fine. They were all wearing a NLD1 sticky badges and the service staff were not slow in keepin their glasses full Feed up with seeing it, stick it in a Bars forum, or don't bother reading but it seems to me there was a bunch of guys who did appreciate it.

Fair Comment Alan, I know that I am so used to being scammed by everyone from flower sellers on down , so that when I know where I am going, I just go, to be honest I have never noticed the girls trying to hand me anything on the way in, but then again I have the old thousand yard stare on at that point

Sir poochai You then need to be sure that the local advertising will generate enough income to cover those 'extras', Company formation, work permit, annual tax returns etc. etc. Many people here have internet based second incomes, but few shout about it dog

I reapplied my thai drivers license last year. Same thing, I had to go to immigration and fill out a form. They will also charge you too. I think a couple hundred baht. When you go to the drivers license office. Have a couple small thumbnail pictures of yourself. I also recommend you bring someone that can read thai. All forms are in thai and no english. Cost about 100 baht.Also if you renew before the expiration date you get a 1 year license. If you renew the day your license expires you get a 5 year

Took My card back and was told I would be required to pay 1,300 baht a month for the duration of the contract, (1 Year). I pointed out that I could not get a signal in North road where I live or Third road, so was therefore unable to use their service. They were indifferent and said I would still have to pay. Decided on some mobile advertising regarding their service by using a large board and vocals next to their stand in Royal garden. They cancelled the contract and refunded my sim card money within 10 minutes I then went and signed on with AIS, no problems at all. relax

Its crap, The occasional news, and now and then, an arab football match or some US basketball and sometimes Aussie rules. The whole package is crap dog

I was thinking about 15,000 baht per rai but would appreciate any comments you friend came up with Because of a new temple being built close by a prospective seller in this village told me that drove the price per Rai from 40,000 baht to 120,000 baht per rai. Thought I had not left Pattaya for a moment dog

Thanks guys, With a little help from unknown friends have found the: Nakhonphanom River View Hotel which looks and reads fairly well. Have booked by Phone at 1,080 baht per night for a superior river view room. (3 nights) will post a review on my return. dog

Get a cheap holiday return flight and dump the return, you can often get them with a few days hotel room thrown in.

Got you eltib, Thats ok for payment for the first day or two but "31,000 baht" up front, I do not think so! what if the place is a duffer and you want to move on. I have never been asked for that sort of money up front and would not pay it. TIT I am being idle, I know that if I was willing to walk around Pattaya, even at xmas, I could find good digs at a reasonable rate but I cannot be bothered so have to pay a few baht more. All fixed up, (but TIT), Markland came across. Ultima stated there was no rooms available but contacted Markland direct and got fixed up with a double with king size bed. 90 baht more then the rate advertised by ultima plus. Thanks to all those that helped with suggestions
