Have been to cambodia (only PP) once for about a week a few years ago. Am now considering relocating there from the US. Would like to ask other BM's to clarify a few points for me. When I flew into PP, I checked "Tourist" in lieu of "Business" on the visa app as I was staying only a short time. If I check "Business" on the visa on arrival form at the airport & pay the $25 fee, does Cambodian Immigration require any other documentaion to grant me the 30-day Business visa on arrival? I have heard that, once in Cambodia, it is no problem to extend the 30-day business visa to a full year in one fail swoop, merely by filling out the app & paying the fee. No other documentation required. IS THIS IN FACT TRUE? I would probably settle in PP as I like city life. I would want to take a hotel room on a long-term basis. Are PP hotels reasonable with long-term rates? I have a half-assed idea about PP's P4P nightlife from my experience there. But, this brings up one further question. Blue Lagoon II was a regular hangout for me when I was in PATs last Fall. Have not read any recent reviews of the bar. Can someone change this? MANY THANX!

Arriving PATs for extended stay JUL 08. Reviews of Soi6 bars or bar crawls seldom include Ruby Bar. Not-so-recent posts say Ruby has excellent ST rooms but do not remark about the quality/attitude of girls or the prices there. Can anyone change this with a recent review? MANY THANX!

Have stayed @ Apex several times in past years. Satisfied with location, rooms, buffets, & prices. Not at all satisfied with attitude of staffs. Front desk girls during dayshift have the "I am doing you a favor attitude". One time I asked one if I could use the stapler for a moment. She picked it up from the desk & slammed it down on the counter so hard that it bounced. Everyone expects tips there--especially the maids. They get downright abusive each day that you do not tip. Anyway, these observations date back to the September when they had the military coup then opened Suvarnabhumi. Can anyone who has stayed there more recently comment as to whether the staffs' attitudes remain the same or have improved? THANX MUCH! Full Edit Quick Edit

I have perused the Thompson House WEBSITE & concluded that it was the place for me, ...............until I sent them an EMAIL asking a few simple questions, which they have not condescended to answer. How can I trust them with an INTERNET reservation? I NEVER have any luck talking to Pattaya hotels via long distance telephone. I do not want to begin my next trip to Pattaya with my dick in the wind (it is limp enough already). Can anyone tell me if they are guest friendly & if they provide safe boxes. If anyone can work any magic to get them to answer an EMAIL, please do so! THANX MUCH!

I have never owned or worked in a Bar anywhere. After 6 trips to PATs, I am now a Pattaya GOGO junkie. Some years ago I was an Operations Supervisor, wherein I had 35 employees, 28 of whom were women. Talk about a 3-ring circus! During many years in the Army Reserve I was in medical units, staffed largely by women. Talk about a goatrope! This prompts me to ask some (hopefully non-offensive & non-intrusive) questions of bar owners/managers. What are the major problems of managing bargirls (absence, tardiness, jealousy, up-their-ass attitudes, viciousness, dishonesty, etc.)? Are older bargirls easier to manage than younger ones? Are stunners more difficult to manage than ordinaries? Are bargirls receptive or hostile to correction/criticism? Do bargirls ever feel any loyalty towards their employers? How does the MAMASANG serve to alleviate any of these problems? Your kind replies appreciated.
