I have never been to Jade or Kinarree, but the posts on the Forums make both sound alluring. However, for my upcoming trip, I shall be residing quite near Soi6, & currently figure to spend every afternoon there. (I know, never plan about Pattaya!) My questions are: What could I find @ Jade or Kinarree that I couldn't find on convenient Soi6? Is it likely that most motorbike taxi drivers know the locations of these places? MANY THANX!

I spend every evening in the GOGO's in WS but have never taken any of the Fl's who offer themselves on WS. I have taken enough BR Fl's to be quite discouraged with their attitudes & lack of responsiveness. I know that plenty of BM's swear by the BR girls, & I do not make this post to be lectured on that point. I have already formed my own opinions of those tramps. However, I would appreciate BM'sharing their experiences & evaluations of WS FL's & possibly comparing them to the BR animals. MANY THANX!

Last trip I went by the Grand Sole Hotel on 2nd RD, N. Pattaya, & it looked interesting. Unfortunately, I did not ever enter to evaluate. Even more unfortunately, I cannot pull up their Website on my PC. Have tried numerous times. I always get some silly error message. Accordingly, request BM's provide pertinent recent info about the Hotel (rates including monthly rates, guest friendly, room quality, staff affability, EMAIL, etc.) MANY THANX!

Have spent quite a bit of time in Pats during the past 5 years, but never during the so-called "high" season. Have booked a 2-month trip beginning in mid-JAN, but am sometimes considering chickening out due to being intimidated by the notoriety I have read on the Forum concerning the high season. Have already booked a hotel at a satisfactory rate, so that is not a concern. My main enjoyment in Pats comes from the GOGO's, especially Babydolls & Windmill. When I was there last MAY-SEP, the WS GOGO's were slow (to put it mildly), & there seemed to be a lethargy about them. The gir

wheres the best place to for something to eat
Bornloser replied to codhead's topic in Restaurants and food
A good place to eat in terms of quality &prices is the Sailor Bar on Soi 8. The steaks they offer are small but quite tasty. The steak plate includes potato of choice, coleslaw, & steamed veggies. Although I have partaken of it several times, I cannot recall the exact price. I do remember always finding it extremely reasonable. Other menu items are equally reasonable. However, there is always a kicker. The intolerably shitty attitudes of the serving Toms in the bar area precludes my further patronixing the joint. -

I am a big fan of the club sandwich. Have devoured one in many different localities. I find the Club Sandwich offered by the Pattaya Beer Garden second to none I have ever had. Very well-assembled sandwich with generous portions of cloeslaw & quite fresh FF (Chips to you Brits). At B100, the Club Sandwich there is a steal. I find other menu items at PBG overpriced, -
I am unclear on two points concerning Pattaya's ATM's & hope that BM's can clarify them for me. If a Wanker takes his foreign bank ATM card to a teller inside one of Pat's banks & executes a cash withdrawl at the teller's station, will he avoid the B150 transaction charge that the bank's ATM machine would assess? Would the exchange rate given by the human for the cash withdrawl be equal to/better than/ worse than the rate given by the machine? MANY THANX!

New Star Hotel is located on the south side of Soi Honey Inn. Am considering staying there, but would appreciate answers to a few questions first. I know they have safe boxes behind the reception desk. Are these boxes secure? Are the rooms safe from breakins? Is the noise level after midnight unbearable? Is it possible to keep the fan rooms cool enough? Is the AC terribly noisy? Those who have stayed there before, would you repeat the experience? Why or why not? MANY THANX!

I read somewhere that a Tom Club was opening near the Grand Sole Hotel on 2nd RD. Does anyone have any update on this? Also, I would appreciate if someone could explain exactly what a Tom Club means! MANY THANX!

Am planning a 3-month stay in PP early next year. Would appreciate suggestions as to reasonable 3-month accommodation in PP. Suggestions about particular hotels/guesthouses with good monthly rates welcomed. I know nothing about apartments in PP, so any info concerning them would be of great benefit. MANY THANX!

While in PP last year I learned that if I purchase a $25 Business Visa upon entry @ PP Airpoort, any hotel or guesthouse in PP can easily arrange to have this extended to a 1-year visa. QUESTIONS: 1. Is this still true? 2. Would this 1-year extension be single or multiple entry? 3. If I shall remain in Cambodia only 3 months, is the 1-year business visa extension the best route; or, can someone suggest a better alternative? MANY THANX!

Will be in KL for 6 days next JUN. Would like to know if Bukit Bintang or Chow Kit area is better for mongering & why so. WSG & ISG not helpful in answering this question. MANY THANX!

Posted Today, 10:45 PM Have 90% made up my mind that my visa run for next trip will be to Jakarta, probably for about a week. Have never been. Problem is the bloody Air Asia flight doesn't arrive there until 2345 hours, when I fear that the Hotel Reservations Desk at the Airport may be closed. Therefore, can anyone tell me the operating hours of that desk? Is it 24/7? Have learned from GOOGLE searches that there is a 24/7 tourist desk at Terminal 2, but none of the sites address the Hotel Desk. Have done extensive GOOGLE searches on Jakarta Hotels but have not come up with much t

Am considering going to Penang for a run between visas next trip. Will not need to apply for a visa there, just need to exit Thailand between visas already granted. Never been to Penang. Have been to KL, but not enthused about returning there. How is the mongering in Penang. Is it so expensive as KL? Budget Hotel recommendations appreciated. MANY THANX!

Unfortunately, I have purchased my RT trip without counting the total number of days. A 1-day visa run will not suffice between visas. I need somewhere to go where I can spend at least 2 days. The past two trips I flew to Phnom Penh for 5-day stays between visas. I had originallyl planned to do the same this coming trip, but I have since lost the desire to return to PP. None of the other cities serviced by Air Asia from BKK appeal to me either. Therefore, I am asking advice as to where I can travel out of Thailand by bus from Pattaya for visa run purposes & spend a few worthwhile

I think that next trip I would like to stay on Soi 6, preferably in one of the hostess bars which offers guestrooms. Have already read plenty about Queen Vic & the other English/Irish pub (the name of which escapes me in this Senior moment). Can anyone tell me which of the Soi 6 hostess bars double as guesthouses (even if only one room)? Any reviews of such accommodations on Soi 6 really appreciated. My only "luxury" requirements are ENSUITE bath & safety box facilities. Noise is not a big factor. MANY THANX!

Would like to hear recent opinions on Mr Mac's Hotel Pattaya, especially opinions on the Hotel's location. Tried the SEARCH function, but no luck. Have reviewed their WEBSITE! It seems that I read somewhere that Mr Mac's caters to gays. Can anyone verify or refute this? MANY

Can anyone recommend a reasonable PP hotel near LeCyrcee? I don't need swimming pool or other such luxuries. I would, however, prefer an in-room safe. MANY THANX!

Arriving Pat's late May & not a NEWBIE. Will be staying on WS for first time. Not familiar with WS resraurants & looking for good place for breakfast and/or dinner. Have read somewhere that food at P72 is reasonable & good. Can anyone confirm? Any recommendations for good, reasonable food in WS area appreciated. (I am not a seafood person & I already have experienced buffets at Lek, Apex, & Diana.) MANY THANX!

So far I have been lucky in that my suitcase has always arrived with me at BKK. Can anyone advise from experience what the airlines at Survarnabhumi do (if anything) to assist a passenger whose baggage has not arrived? I normally go directly from the Airport to PATs, without a layover in Bangkok. Would the airline forward my bag to my hotel in PATs, or must I wait for it in Bangkok? MANY THANX!

One issue I discovered during my living 2 years in Subic is that Philippinas are very willing to bareback but VERY UNWILLING TO ABORT. I verified this during discussions with many bar & nonbar girls there. This issue caused me to get myself "fixed" while there & before I verified it the hard way.

Can anyone tell me of a Monger's Forum, similar to this, for South Africa? I already know of World Sexguide & Int'l Sexguide, but do not find them helpful. MANY THANX!

Am considering staying at the Swiss Food Bistro & Hotel, Soi Diamond. Would appreciate any info any BM can provide on the Hotel portion (not interested in the restaurant part). Is the Hotel suitable for an extended stay of 3 Months? (I am already very familiar with Soi Diamond itself, having spent many hours haunting the GOGO's there.) THANX MUCH!

Request review of Mr Macs Hotel, 146/82 Pattaya-Jomtien RD. My main concern is that, judging from the map location on their WEBSITE, it appears to be a hefty hike to Walking ST & therefore a little farther out than I would prefer for a 3-month stay. Any info any BM can provide appreciated. THANX MUCH, Sandman
