  1. I missed you too. We need a general chat time - how about Sat 1600 UK time? Anyone up for that?
  2. Why not just quit completely?
  3. Yep Customs can do pretty much whatever they like - they have similar powers to the Police. How about claiming on your Holiday Insurance?
  4. You might find the undercover FBI guys in Pattaya arresting you as a suspected terrorist though.... :)

Sounds like getting them with a prescription is the cheapest way then and bringing them in. Incidentally what makes me really laugh is that many pharmacies in LOS sell cigarettes and beer.
  6. Hi Paula and welcome. How does it work with Cap and you? He BFs and you al leave together? If you wanted to tell us - just curious.

You'll be OK but make sure it's in a labelled container. Why bother anyway? Its cheap and plentiful in Pattaya.
  8. The problem is still there but as I have a work around it's no big deal. Probably something to do with new comp, new XP and some updates I loaded.
  9. Further info - Log onto FLB web site, click in main body of home page, problem occurs, then click on drop down menu - this resolves problem ie you can then get the next page from the links in the main body of the page Log out and log in again - problem reappears Spooky!
  10. Pete - I loaded Java from the link you provided a while ago. Incidentally when I select items from the drop down menus it works correctly it is just clicking on the links in the left and right in the main body of the page that does not work (except forum, thank god ;D ;D ;D)
  11. pete when I use the website and click on anything except the forum I just get the same page though it gives a new girl's image centre top ie just reloads that page. Any ideas? XP, IE6.
  12. Anyone try a beer bar on Soi 3 (I think) nicknamed the Belgian Embassy. Daytime place open 12 - 9 I think and I heard good reports but when I tried it I wasn't that impressed.
  13. Just started using a new computer for net access and when I tried to log onto chat it said it needed to upload some Java component but the whn I tried to do this I got a Microsoft page saying this upload was no longer available since 27 aug 02. Any ideas? Thanks for any info.
  14. Pete will you be in FLB Bar on Fri or Sat night? Would like to buy you a beer.
  15. When in LOS do members (and can members) access and post to FLB board? What is the protocol / usual thing to do? Just asking cos Im gonna be there on Friday.
  16. Thanks for the info - always a pleasure to see posts from the waving cat. Will report back on Eva when I can.
  17. Funnily enough just finished reading the Fellows book and yep it does make very worrying reading. I don't use drugs myself at all and have now managed to quit smoking so just alcohol and coffee left for me now. To anyone who has not got the message, mess with drugs in LOS and you are absolutely playing with fire. Small amounts will get you in very big trouble, ecstasy is considered as serious as heroin (hence has same penalties), the Thai guy who sells to you will make a few extra Baht by telling the Thai police you have purchased etc. Everyone should read the Fellows book - I bought
  18. Very many thanks for the advice guys - I have now got my head round webmail which i had never used before and I will be using this in Pattaya to keep in touch with the rest of the world.
  19. Well I would say that Tom is right that it makes sense for Northerners to go on China as we have to either go economy via Amsterdam or Heathrow so that makes little difference. I can see the Southerner's point though. Those I have spoken to who should know about these things say China is genine business class with lounges etc and (tellingly) an additional 10" seat pitch over Eva Evergreen Deluxe. As for safety record, I bet that statistically flying with China is still safer than (eg) going London to Manchester in a car or (these days) a train. Still a poor safety record is a poor sa
  20. Can I use the email account I use at home in Pattaya? I have an account with an ISP called UKF and have the user name, password and POP3 servers. Can I just create an account on a machine in an Internet place and use this as usual? Any advice appreciated.
  21. China Air are offering business class seats UK to BKK at around £800. Only problem - China Air have a poor safety (crashing) record. If you are OK with that and want a relaxing flight as opposed to a nightmare journey in Economy it might be worth a ring to 0870 066 0099
  22. With respect Mirkwood........... Either you are winding us up or a litle bit out of order here. First, isn't it Pete who decides who the in-house advisor is and are you SURE you know EVERYTHING about Thai women. Bold claim that. Course it could be a wind up. Good luck with the advie giving though. :) :) :) :) :)
  23. As for EVA - when I booked I specifically wanted the more flexible ticket and I agree that this is a very important consideration when booking, not just to get the cheapest. When I go in July, if things go well I will be staying beyond the initial 30 days I have planned so I wanted the flexibility. I am also going to the embassy at Liverpool later this week to try to get a 60 day visa so I will also report on this. Anyone had any experience of this? Paul :-)
  24. Hi Cheshire - thanks for the comments BTW I am one of the Macc Lads (not a band member, just come form there - this won't mean anything to anyone not familiar with Cheshire although I now spend my UK time in Manchester)
  25. I just booked with EVA and my Evergreen ticket alows changing the return date within 6 months subject to availability ;D
