Yeah I thought he meant the carriers.  Everyone I know who has been on one likes them.

I loved the A380.  Hawaiian to Hawaii and return.  A couple of trips to Bangkok and back with Emirates.

I don't normally look which plane is flying the route when booking,as they often change them.  But I was highly pissed when the A380 I was booked on was changed to a  737

One has to ask how come one high-rise under construction in Bangkok collapsed owing to an earthquake with an epicenter 600 miles away, while other buildings were just damaged. Pity the poor buggers who were working in it, there can scarcely be any hope for them.

we had 2 massive earthquakes in 2010 and 2011. The first killed 2 people. The second killed 135 in the single multistory building that collapsed.  The other 50 were killed in about 40 different places, mostly by masonry falling off buildings that otherwise  remained intact. People were killed when they fled out of the building and debris fell on them, the people that stayed inside survived.

I found it ok arriving in bangkok,it's at the farthest immigration booths.not really obvious.Didnt find it leaving, hopefully I will be wiser next time.

so does that mean it's on the left side facing the immigration booths....the Thai only ones are to the right

  4. it's not just domestic flights that charge a fortune.  I got cheap flights to Melbourne and then to Bangkok and return with 7kg of carry on.

My wife is visiting her sister in Sydney for part of the time I'm away. Return flights were $650 for carryon but added $300 for 30kg of checked baggage. Didn't pay for 3 different types of insurance or selected seat, she isn't big enough to need extra leg room. She does get a meal included.

I'll buy food and a bottle of water at the airport to take on the plane.

    RIP David Lynchdavidl.jpg

I watched Mulholland Drive the day before he died.  I thought maybe there was something wrong with me because I couldn't work out what the fuck was going on.

Then I looked on Wikipedia about it...after all these years no one else can work it out either.

That's the last David Lynch production I will ever watch.

Gee Teelack so you travel from South Island NZ to China then back to Bangkok, long haul mate. Not bad for a spring chicken like yourself 😷

North Island......it's too cold for him down here.

He lives in a small coastal town too far from Auckland to drive easily.

My mate flew that way from Christchurch in October. Christchurch to Auckland to China to Bangkok to Udon Thani.   Took about 38 hours...to save less than $100.

So, the reason that the Feds did not clear the roof or have a presence on the roof because the roof was sloped. In the pic you will see IRS and police Govt. employees as in the ones coming to collect the cheque who "couldn't" go onto a sloped roof.

Or maybe I got it wrong but tat's how I saw it.

I think you got it right. But it's way out of date, and wasn't really funny to anyone outside of the USA

We will be in februari 2 weeks in pattaya. Looking for adult fun.

if you are looking for bi-girls to join you and play with both then there are hundreds on offer. Gentleman's clubs or Kink upstairs are almost guaranteed to have at least a couple of girls who are interested.

I have no idea about finding bi-guys if that's your thing but maybe try joing thaifriendly.

I have seen the occasional woman on thaifriendly who is looking for action for her and a male partner.

  9. choosing an airline always carries some risk.

There is no way I'll ever fly Qantas again after being stuck in Sydney airport for 14 hours because they had a dispute with their engineers and our plane got black-banned. The entire time no one told us what was going on, just said the plane will be here in an hour,  then the same thing 2 hours later 6 times. no apology, no compensation and McDonald's vouchers for food.

I've flown Jetstar without problems, this is a direct flight, I only have carry-on.

I'll take the risk on delays to save $600. That's 12,000 bhat I can spend on better things than a comfortable seat and an airline meal.

I would point out the luggage xray has nothing to do with Jetstar  they didn't pack the bags.

But you have got a good price for a full service airline like Singapore.

  10. My daughter  was coming over for my 70th just before Christmas but Jetstar wanted 1,200 and AirNZ wanted 1,500 for return flights each less than 4 hours.

So instead she's shouting me a trip to Melbourne. So I said I'll go over early June for a few days then go to Thailand, then call in on the return trip.

Out of curiosity I looked at airfares Melbourne to Bangkok return..

I found 4,200,  then 3,500,  then 2,700, then 2,100,  then 1,900 the same as I paid in 2023.  Then 1,371 but 30 hours travel time via China.

Then I struck Gold on Jetstar.  Direct flight of 9 hours. Return with a 4 hour stop in Singapore using AirAsia.  For a grand total of $650.

Absolutely no frills,  7kg carry-on, no seat allocation, no meal, no drinks, no infight entertainment.  Who cares, I'll eat at the airport and buy a coupe if sandwiches and a bottle of water. Have a couple of books to read, and games on my laptop. No cancelation insurance I'm going.

How it can be a third of the price of 2 years earlier has me beat. But that's their problem not mine.

Must have been a different fight; it's still in the Olympics women competition.

was born a woman,  raised as a woman,  i'm guessing that means her parents saw her vagina while she was growing up,   has a passport as a woman, has testosterone levels below that required by the IOC.

what's your definition of a woman?

    because that seems fairly complete.

  12. I've had a great time in Udon Thani. Next to the night market is Nutty Park,  which has a number of bars and usually some lovely ladies.

If you are into history the archeological site at Ban Chiang is well worth a visit.
