  1. I hope their contingency plans are robust and effective. Time will tell.
  2. I'd recommend Captain's bar on soi honey for full English and queen vic on soi 6. Having said that I personally prefer buffet breakfasts at the hotels like Lek hotel on second road - great choice of thai or western food and fruit/cereal/drinks. Really cheap.
  3. If only Virgin flew direct to BKK from LHR things would be great!!!
  4. just seen on UK Sky News the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office has just posted: "We now advise against all but essential travel to the city of Bangkok and the 26 provinces in Thailand affected by flooding. Our advice against all but essential travel to the city of Bangkok does not include transit through Suvarnabhumi international airport."
  5. Back in town in a few days! Look forward to calling in again as usual...
  6. On the internet flight sites, they are generally coming out cheaper compared to the rest apart from Oman and Aeroflot when looking at London - Bangkok. Haven't personally flown with them but my friend flew to India with them and said they were fine. Check this out for an official ratings of the airline: http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/jet.htm They are officially a 3 Star ratings airline with Skytrax. The very top airlines have 5 Stars.
